Ti byli přednější z kněží a bratří svých za času Jesua.8Levítové pak: Jesua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Serebiáš, Juda; Mattaniáš, postavený nad zpěvy chvalitebnými s bratřími svými.9A Bakbukiáš a Unni, bratří jejich, byli naproti nim v pořádcích svých.10Jesua pak zplodil Joiakima, a Joiakim zplodil Eliasiba, Eliasib pak zplodil Joiadu.11A Joiada zplodil Jonatana, Jonatan pak zplodil Jaddua.12Za času pak Joiakima byli přední kněží z čeledí otcovských: Z Saraiášovy Meraiáš, z Jeremiášovy Chananiáš,13Z Ezdrášovy Mesullam, z Amariášovy Jochanan,14Z Melichovy Jonatan, z Sebaniášovy Jozef,15Z Charimovy Adna, z Meraiotovy Chelkai,16Z Iddovy Zachariáš, z Ginnetonovy Mesullam,17Z Abiášovy Zichri, z Miniaminovy a z Moadiášovy Piltai,18Z Bilgovy Sammua, z Semaiášovy Jonatan,19Z Joiaribovy Mattenai, z Jedaiášovy Uzi,20Z Sallaiovy Kallai, z Amokovy Heber,21Z Helkiášovy Chasabiáš, z Jedaiášovy Natanael.22Levítové pak přednější z čeledí otcovských za dnů Eliasiba, Joiady, Jochanana a Jaddua, zapsáni jsou až do kralování Daria Perského.23Synové, pravím, Léví, přední v čeledech otcovských, zapsáni jsou v knize Paralipomenon, až do času Jochanana syna Eliasibova.24Potom přední Levítové: Chasabiáš, Serebiáš, a Jesua syn Kadmielův, a bratří jejich naproti nim k chválení a oslavování Boha, podlé nařízení Davida muže Božího, třída proti třídě.25Mataniáš, Bakbukiáš, Abdiáš, Mesullam, Talmon, Akkub, držící stráž vrátných při domu pokladů u bran.26Ti byli za času Joiakima , syna Jesua, syna Jozadakova, a za času Nehemiáše vůdce, a Ezdráše kněze a učitele.27Ku posvěcování pak zdí Jeruzalémských shlédávali Levíty ze všech míst jejich, aby je přivedli do Jeruzaléma, aby vykonali posvěcení a veselí, a to s oslavováním a zpěvy, cymbály, loutnami a harfami.28Protož shromážděni jsou synové zpěváků, i z rovin okolo Jeruzaléma, i ze vsí Netofatských,29Též z domu Galgal, a z polí Gaba i Azmavet; nebo vsi stavěli sobě zpěváci okolo Jeruzaléma.30A očistivše se kněží a Levítové, očistili také lid, brány i zed.31Za tím rozkázal jsem vstoupiti knížatům Judským na zed, a postavil jsem dva houfy veliké oslavujících, z nichž jedni šli na pravo, od horní strany zdi k bráně hnojné.32A za těmi šel Hosaiáš a polovice knížat Judských,33Též Azariáš, Ezdráš, a Mesullam,34Juda, Beniamin, Semaiáš a Jeremiáš.35Potom za syny kněžskými s trubami Zachariáš syn Jonatana, syna Semaiášova, syna Mattaniášova, syna Michaiášova, syna Zakurova, syna Azafova.36A bratří jeho: Semaiáš, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael a Juda, Chanani s nástroji hudebnými Davida muže Božího, Ezdráš pak učitel před nimi.37Potom k bráně u studnice, kteráž naproti nim byla, vstupovali po stupních města Davidova, kudy se chodí na zed, a ode zdi při domě Davidově, až k bráně vodné k východu.38Houf pak druhý oslavujících bral se naproti oněmno, a já za nimi, a polovice lidu po zdi od věže Tannurim až ke zdi široké,39A od brány Efraim k bráně staré, a k bráně rybné, a věži Chananeel, a věži Mea, až k bráně bravné. I zastavili se v bráně stráže.40Potom zastavili se oba houfové oslavujících v domě Božím, i já, a polovice knížat se mnou.41Ano i kněží: Eliakim, Maaseiáš, Miniamin, Michaiáš, Elioenai, Zachariáš, Chananiáš, s trubami,42A Maaseiáš, Semaiáš, Eleazar, Uzi, Jochanan, Malkiáš, Elam a Ezer. Zpěváci pak zvučně zpívali s Izrachiášem představeným svým.43Obětovali také v ten den oběti veliké, a veselili se; nebo Bůh obveselil je veselím velikým. Ano i ženy a děti veselily se, tak že bylo slyšáno veselí Jeruzaléma opodál.44Mezi tím zřízeni jsou v ten den muži nad komorami k pokladům a k obětem, i k prvotinám a k desátkům, aby shromažďovali do nich s polí městských díly, zákonem vyměřené kněžím a Levítům; nebo veselil se Juda z kněží a Levítů přístojících,45Kteříž držeti měli stráž Boha svého, a stráž očišťování, a zpěváků i vrátných, podlé nařízení Davidova a Šalomouna syna jeho.46Nebo za času Davidova a Azafova od starodávna přední zpěváci k zpívání, chválení a oslavování Boha stáli před ním.47Pročež všecken Izrael za dnů Zorobábele a za času Nehemiáše dávali díly pro zpěváky a vrátné, na každý den stálé odměření, a odvodili je Levítům, Levítové pak dávali synům Aronovým.

27 K posvěcení jeruzalémských hradeb vyhledali a přivedli do Jeruzaléma levity ze všech jejich míst, aby uspořádali radostnou slavnost posvěcení spojenou s díkůvzdáním a zpěvem za doprovodu cymbálů, harf a citer.28 Tu se shromáždili příslušníci pěveckých sborů z okrsku kolem Jeruzaléma a z netófských dvorců,29z Bét-gilgálu a z polností Geby a Azmávetu; zpěváci si totiž vystavěli dvorce okolo Jeruzaléma.30 Kněží a levité se očistili, pak očistili lid i brány a hradby. 31 Přikázal jsem judským velmožům, aby vystoupili na hradby, a postavil jsem dva velké děkovné sbory. Jeden šel doprava po hradbách k bráně Hnojné.32 Za nimi šel Hóšajáš s polovinou judských velmožů33 a Azarjáš, Ezra, Mešulám,34 Juda, Binjamín, Šemajáš a Jirmejáš.35 Z kněžstva tu byli s trubkami Zekarjáš, syn Jónatana, syna Šemajáše, syna Matanjáše, syna Míkajáše, syna Zakúra, syna Asafova,36 a jeho bratří Šemajáš a Azarel, Milalaj, Gilalaj, Maaj, Netanel, Juda a Chananí s hudebními nástroji Davida, muže Božího, a před nimi znalec Zákona Ezdráš.37 U Studničné brány, která byla naproti nim, vystoupili po schodech Města Davidova a pokračovali přístupem na hradby při Davidově paláci až k Vodní bráně na východě. 38 Druhý děkovný sbor se jim ubíral naproti. Za ním jsem šel já s druhou polovinou lidu po hradbách, podél Pecné věže až k široké hradbě,39 podél Efrajimovy brány, Staré brány a Rybné brány při věži Chananeelu a věži Meá až k Ovčí bráně. Zůstali jsme stát ve Strážní bráně.40 Oba děkovné sbory se zastavily na nádvoří Božího domu, i já s polovinou představenstva,41 kněží Eljakím, Maasejáš, Minjamín, Míkajáš, Eljóenaj, Zekarjáš, Chananjáš s trubkami,42Maasejáš, Šemajáš, Eleazar, Uzí, Jóchanan, Malkijáš, Élam a Ezer. Zpěváci zvučně zpívali za řízení Jizrachjáše.43 V onen den také obětovali veliké oběti a radovali se, neboť jim Bůh připravil převelikou radost. I ženy a děti se radovaly, takže se radostné veselí Jeruzaléma rozléhalo dodaleka. 44 V onen den byli ustanoveni někteří za správce komor pro sklady, obětní dávky, prvotiny a desátky, aby v nich uskladňovali částky z městských polností určené Zákonem kněžím a levitům. Juda se totiž radoval z kněží a levitů, připravených45 držet stráž svého Boha a dbát na očišťování. I zpěváci a vrátní konali službu podle nařízení Davida a jeho syna Šalomouna.46 Odedávna totiž, už za dnů Davidových a Asafových, vzdávali přední zpěváci zpěvem Bohu chválu a čest.47 Proto za dnů Zerubábelových i za dnů Nehemjášových odváděl celý Izrael příslušné částky na každý den pro zpěváky a vrátné; odděloval je jako svaté dávky pro levity a levité z nich oddělovali svaté dávky pro Áronovce.

Zasvěcení hradeb
27Když se posvěcovaly hradby Jeruzaléma, byli vyhledáni levité ze všech míst, kde bydleli, a byli přivedeni do Jeruzaléma, aby radostně oslavovali zasvěcení hradeb zpěvy díků a hraním na činely, lyry a citery.28Zpěváci byli shromážděni ze širokého okolí Jeruzaléma – z netofských usedlostí,29z Bet-gilgalu a z okolí Geby a Azmavetu. Zpěváci si totiž vystavěli usedlosti v okolí Jeruzaléma.30Kněží a levité se očistili a očistili také lid, brány a hradby.31Judské hodnostáře jsem vyvedl na hradby a postavil dva veliké děkovné průvody. V čele průvodu šel učenec Ezdráš.37Prošli Studniční bránou naproti nim, stoupali po schodech Města Davidova vzhůru ke hradbám, podél Davidova paláce a na východ k Vodní bráně.38Druhý děkovný průvod šel opačným směrem. Šel jsem s ním i já s polovinou lidu: po hradbě směrem k Pecné věži a až k Široké hradbě,39podél Efraimovy brány přes Ješanskou bránu, přes Rybnou bránu, věž Chananel, věž Mea až k Ovčí bráně. Zastavili jsme u Strážní brány.40Oba děkovné průvody stanuly na nádvoří Božího chrámu, také já a se mnou polovina hodnostářů41a rovněž kněží: Eliakim, Maasejáš, Minjamin, Míka, Eljoenaj, Zachariáš a Chananiáš s trubkami,42dále Maasejáš, Šemajáš, Eleazar, Uzi, Jochanan, Malkiáš, Elam a Ezer. Zpěváci pozvedli hlas, vedeni Jizrachiášem.43Toho dne se obětovaly veliké oběti a všichni se radovali, neboť je Bůh rozveselil velikou radostí. Radovaly se i ženy a děti a jeruzalémské veselí se rozléhalo široko daleko.
Chrámové odvody
44Toho dne byli ustanoveni muži zodpovědní za komory, pokladnice, obětiny, prvotiny a desátky, aby shromažďovali zákonné příděly obecních polností pro kněze a levity. Všechen Juda se radoval z toho, že kněží a levité byli postaveni do služby.45Ti konali službu svému Bohu a dbali na očišťování podle příkazů Davida a jeho syna Šalomouna stejně jako zpěváci a strážní.46(Již dávno, za dnů Davidových a Asafových, totiž byli ustanoveni vedoucí zpěváků, chval a díkůvzdání Bohu.)47Všechen Izrael tedy za dnů Zerubábela a Nehemiáše odevzdával příspěvky na zpěváky a strážné, jak bylo stanoveno den po dni. Také levitům zasvěcovali odvody a levité zasvěcovali odvody synům Áronovým.

Meschullam, Talmon und Akkub hielten als Torwächter die Wache an den Vorratskammern der Tore.26Diese lebten zur Zeit Jojakims, des Sohnes Jeschuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, und zur Zeit des Statthalters Nehemia und des Priesters und Schriftgelehrten Esra.
Einweihung der Mauer
27Bei der Einweihung der Mauer Jerusalems holte man die Leviten aus allen ihren Wohnsitzen nach Jerusalem, um mit frohen Lobgesängen und mit der Musik von Zimbeln, Harfen und Zithern die Einweihung zu vollziehen. (Ezd 3,10)28Da fanden sich die Sänger aus dem Umkreis von Jerusalem ein und aus den Gehöften der Leute von Netofa,29aus Bet-Gilgal und den Gemarkungen von Geba und Asmawet; die Sänger hatten sich nämlich rings um Jerusalem Gehöfte gebaut.30Die Priester und Leviten reinigten sich selbst; sie reinigten auch das Volk, die Tore und die Mauer. (Ezd 6,20)31Dann ließ ich die Vorsteher von Juda auf die Mauer steigen und stellte zwei große Festchöre auf; zunächst Prozessionsreihen nach rechts oben auf der Mauer dem Aschentor zu. (Neh 2,13)32Ihnen folgte Hoschaja mit der einen Hälfte der Vorsteher von Juda.33Dann kamen Asarja, Esra, Meschullam,34Juda, Benjamin, Schemaja und Jirmeja;35und die Priester mit den Trompeten: Secharja, der Sohn Jonatans, des Sohnes Schemajas, des Sohnes Mattanjas, des Sohnes Michajas, des Sohnes Sakkurs, des Sohnes Asafs,36und seine Brüder Schemaja und Asarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel und Juda, Hanani mit den Musikinstrumenten des Gottesmannes David. Vor ihnen her schritt Esra, der Schriftgelehrte. (2Pa 29,25)37Und am Quelltor, und zwar geradeaus, stiegen sie dann die Stufen zur Davidstadt und den Aufgang zur Mauer hinauf und kamen am Palast Davids entlang zum Wassertor im Osten.38Der zweite Festchor ging in Gegenrichtung - ihm folgte ich mit der andern Hälfte des Volkes -, oben auf der Mauer am Ofenturm vorbei zur Breiten Mauer,39dann über das Efraimtor, das Jeschanator und das Fischtor, am Turm Hananel und am Turm der Hundert vorbei zum Schaftor; er machte halt am Wachtor.40Dann stellten sich die beiden Festchöre beim Haus Gottes auf, auch ich und die Hälfte der Beamten, die bei mir waren,41sowie die Priester Eljakim, Maaseja, Minjamin, Michaja, Eljoënai, Secharja und Hananja mit den Trompeten42und Maaseja, Schemaja, Eleasar, Usi, Johanan, Malkija, Elam und Eser. Nun ließen sich die Sänger hören; ihr Leiter war Jisrachja.43An diesem Tag brachte man große Schlachtopfer dar und alle freuten sich; denn Gott hatte ihnen eine große Freude bereitet. Auch die Frauen und Kinder waren fröhlich und der Jubel in Jerusalem war weithin zu hören. (Ezd 6,17)
Ordnung der heiligen Abgaben
44In jener Zeit wurden Männer bestellt zur Aufsicht über die Kammern, die für die Vorräte, Abgaben, Erstlingsfrüchte und Zehnten bestimmt waren. In diesen Kammern sammelte man von den Feldern der einzelnen Städte die Anteile, die den Priestern und Leviten nach der Weisung zukamen. Denn Juda hatte Freude an den Priestern und Leviten, die im Dienst standen. (Neh 10,39; Neh 13,10)45Sie versahen den Dienst für ihren Gott und vollzogen die Reinigungsriten; auch die Sänger und Torwächter taten Dienst nach dem Gebot Davids und seines Sohnes Salomo. (1Pa 16,4)46Denn schon früher, in der Zeit Davids und Asafs, gab es Vorsteher der Sänger, die zur Ehre Gottes Lob- und Danklieder vortrugen.47Zur Zeit Serubbabels und zur Zeit Nehemias lieferte ganz Israel die Anteile für die Sänger und Torwächter ab, je nachdem es der tägliche Bedarf erforderte. Man gab den Leviten einen heiligen Anteil und die Leviten gaben davon den Söhnen Aarons einen heiligen Anteil.
1These are the priests and the Levites who came up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, (1Pa 3,19; Ezd 2,1; Ezd 3,2; Neh 10,2; Neh 12,12; Neh 12,47)2Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,3Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,4Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,5Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,6Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,7Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.8And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who with his brothers was in charge of the songs of thanksgiving. Dedication of the Wall
27And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, with thanksgivings and with singing, with cymbals, harps, and lyres. (Nu 7,10; 1Pa 15,16)28And the sons of the singers gathered together from the district surrounding Jerusalem and from the villages of the Netophathites;29also from Beth-gilgal and from the region of Geba and Azmaveth, for the singers had built for themselves villages around Jerusalem.30And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and they purified the people and the gates and the wall. Service at the Temple
44On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered. (2Pa 31,11; Neh 13,5; Neh 13,12)45And they performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the command of David and his son Solomon.46For long ago in the days of David and Asaph there were directors of the singers, and there were songs[2] of praise and thanksgiving to God.
