1V tom čase uslyšel Herodes čtvrták pověst o Ježíšovi.2I řekl služebníkům svým: To jest Jan Křtitel. Onť jest vstal z mrtvých, a protož se divové dějí skrze něho.3Nebo Herodes byl jal Jana a svázal jej a dal do žaláře pro Herodiadu manželku Filipa bratra svého.4Nebo byl řekl jemu Jan: Nesluší tobě míti jí.5A chtěv zabíti jej, bál se lidu; nebo za proroka jej měli.6Když pak slaven byl den narození Herodesova, tancovala dcera Herodiady uprostřed hodovníků, i líbilo se to Herodesovi,7Tak že s přísahou zaslíbil jí dáti, zač by ho prosila.8A ona jsuci prve navedena od mateře své, řekla: Dej mi zde na míse hlavu Jana Křtitele.9I zarmoutil se král, ale pro přísahu a pro ty, kteříž spolu s ním stolili, rozkázal jí dáti.10A poslav kata, sťal Jana v žaláři.11I přinesena jest hlava jeho na míse, a dána děvečce. A uslyševše o tom zástupové, šli za ním pěšky z měst.14A vyšed Ježíš, uzřel zástup mnohý. I slitovalo mu se jich, a uzdravoval nemocné jejich.15A když bylo k večerou, přistoupili k němu učedlníci jeho, řkouce: Pusté jest místo toto, a čas již pominul. Rozpusť zástupy, ať jdouce do městeček, nakoupí sobě pokrmů.16Ježíš pak řekl jim: Není potřebí odcházeti, dejte vy jim jísti.17A oni řkou jemu: Nemáme zde, než pět chlebů a dvě rybě.18Kterýžto dí jim: Přinestež mi je sem.19A rozkázav zástupu posaditi se na trávě a vzav pět chlebů a dvě rybě, vzhléd v nebe, požehnal, a lámaje, dal učedlníkům chleby, a učedlníci zástupům.20I jedli všickni a nasyceni jsou. I sebrali pozůstalých drobtů, dvanácte košů plných.21Těch pak, kteříž jedli, bylo okolo pěti tisíců mužů, kromě žen a dětí.22A ihned přinutil učedlníky své, aby vstoupili na lodí a předešli jej za moře, dokudž by nerozpustil zástupů.23A rozpustiv zástupy, vstoupil na horu soukromí, aby se modlil. A když byl večer, sám byl tam.24Lodí pak již byla uprostřed moře, zmítající se vlnami, nebo byl vítr odporný jim.25Při čtvrtém pak bdění nočním bral se k nim Ježíš, jda po moři.26A vidouce jej učedlníci po moři jdoucího, zarmoutili se, řkouce: Obluda jest. A strachem křičeli.27Ale ihned Ježíš promluvil k nim, řka: Doufejtež, jáť jsem, nebojte se.28I odpověděv Petr, řekl: Pane, jsi-li ty, rozkažiž mi k sobě přijíti po vodě.29A on řekl: Pojď. A vystoupiv Petr z lodí, šel po vodě, aby přišel k Ježíšovi.30Ale vida vítr tuhý, bál se. A počav tonouti, zkřikl, řka: Pane, pomoz mi.31A ihned Ježíš vztáh ruku, ujal jej a řekl jemu: Malé víry, pročežs pochyboval?32A jakž oni vstoupili na lodí, přestal vítr.33Ti pak, kteříž na lodí byli, přistoupivše, klaněli se jemu, řkouce: Jistě Syn Boží jsi.34A přeplavivše se, přišli do země Genezaretské.35A poznavše jej muži místa toho, rozeslali po vší té krajině vůkol, a shromáždili k němu všecky neduživé.36A prosili ho, aby se aspoň podolka roucha jeho dotkli. A kteřížkoli dotkli se, uzdraveni jsou.
1 V ten čas se tetrarcha Herodes doslechl o Ježíšovi2 a řekl svým sluhům: „To je Jan Křtitel, který vstal z mrtvých; proto v něm působí mocné síly.“ 3 Tento Herodes totiž zatkl Jana a dal ho v poutech vsadit do žaláře kvůli Herodiadě, manželce svého bratra Filipa,4 neboť Jan mu říkal: „Není dovoleno, abys ji měl za ženu.“5 Byl by ho rád zbavil života, ale bál se lidu, protože měli Jana za proroka.6 Na Herodovy narozeniny však dcera té Herodiady tančila uprostřed hostů. Zalíbila se Herodovi,7 a on jí s přísahou slíbil dát, o cokoli požádá.8 A ona, navedena svou matkou, řekla: „Dej mi sem přinést na míse hlavu Jana Křtitele.“9 Král se zarmoutil, ale pro přísahu před spolustolovníky poručil, aby jí vyhověli,10 a dal Jana v žaláři stít.11 Tak přinesli jeho hlavu na míse, dali ji dívce a ona ji donesla své matce.12 Janovi učedníci potom přišli, odnesli jeho tělo a pohřbili je; pak šli a oznámili to Ježíšovi.
— Nasycení pěti tisíců
13 Když to Ježíš uslyšel, odplul lodí na pusté místo, aby byl sám; ale zástupy o tom uslyšely a pěšky šly z měst za ním.14 Když vystoupil, uviděl velký zástup a bylo mu jich líto. I uzdravoval jejich nemocné. 15 Když nastal večer, přistoupili k němu učedníci a řekli: „Toto místo je pusté a je už pozdní hodina. Propusť zástupy, ať si jdou do vesnic koupit jídlo.“16 Ale Ježíš jim řekl: „Nemusejí odcházet; dejte vy jim jíst!“17 Oni odpověděli: „Máme tu jen pět chlebů a dvě ryby.“18 On však řekl: „Přineste mi je sem!“19 Poručil, aby se zástupy rozsadily po trávě. Potom vzal těch pět chlebů a dvě ryby, vzhlédl k nebi, vzdal díky, lámal chleby a dával učedníkům a učedníci zástupům.20 I jedli všichni a nasytili se; a sebrali nalámaných chlebů, které zbyly, dvanáct plných košů.21 A jedlo tam na pět tisíc mužů kromě žen a dětí.
— Ježíš kráčí po moři
22 Hned nato přiměl Ježíš učedníky, aby vstoupili na loď a jeli před ním na druhý břeh, než propustí zástupy.23 Když je propustil, vystoupil na horu, aby se o samotě modlil. Když nastal večer, byl tam sám.24 Loď byla daleko od země a vlny ji zmáhaly, protože vítr vál proti ní.25 K ránu šel k nim, kráčeje po moři.26 Když ho učedníci uviděli kráčet po moři, vyděsili se, že je to přízrak, a křičeli strachem.27 Ježíš na ně hned promluvil a řekl jim: „Vzchopte se, já jsem to, nebojte se!“ 28 Petr mu odpověděl: „Pane, jsi-li to ty, poruč mi, ať přijdu k tobě po vodách!“29 A on řekl: „Pojď!“ Petr vystoupil z lodi, vykročil na vodu a šel k Ježíšovi.30 Ale když viděl, jaký je vítr, přepadl ho strach, začal tonout a vykřikl: „Pane, zachraň mne!“31 Ježíš hned vztáhl ruku, uchopil ho a řekl mu: „Ty malověrný, proč jsi pochyboval?“ 32 Když vstoupili na loď, vítr se utišil.33 Ti, kdo byli na lodi, klaněli se mu a říkali: „Jistě jsi Boží Syn.“
— Uzdravování v Genezaretu
34 Když se dostali na druhý břeh, přistáli u Genezaretu.35 Lidé z toho místa ho poznali a vzkázali do celého okolí. Přinášeli mu všechny nemocné36 a prosili ho, aby se směli aspoň dotknout třásní jeho roucha. A kdo se dotkli, byli uzdraveni.
1V tu dobu uslyšel zprávu o Ježíši i tetrarcha Herodes.[1]2„To je Jan Křtitel!“ řekl svým služebníkům. „Vstal z mrtvých, a proto se skrze něj dějí zázraky.“3Herodes totiž Jana zatkl, spoutal a uvěznil kvůli Herodiadě, manželce svého bratra Filipa,4protože Jan mu říkal: „Tvůj sňatek s ní je nezákonný!“[2]5Herodes ho tedy chtěl zabít, ale bál se zástupu, protože ho měli za proroka.6Dcera té Herodiady pak na oslavě Herodových narozenin tančila uprostřed hodovníků a Herodovi se tak zalíbila,7že jí přísahal splnit jakékoli přání.8Předem navedena svou matkou mu tedy řekla: „Přines mi na téhle míse hlavu Jana Křtitele!“9Králi se to nelíbilo, ale kvůli přísaze a kvůli svým hostům poručil, ať jí to splní.10Poslal tedy kata, aby Jana ve vězení sťal.11Když na míse přinesli jeho hlavu, dali ji té dívce a ta ji odnesla matce.12Později přišli Janovi učedníci, vzali tělo a pochovali je. Potom šli a pověděli to Ježíšovi.
Pět chlebů a dvě ryby
13Když to Ježíš uslyšel, odplavil se odtud o samotě na pusté místo. Jakmile se to doslechly zástupy, vypravily se za ním pěšky z měst.14Když vystoupil z loďky a uviděl veliký zástup lidí, byl naplněn soucitem k nim a uzdravoval jejich nemocné.15Večer pak k němu přišli učedníci a řekli: „Tohle místo je pusté a už je dost pozdě. Propusť zástupy, ať si jdou do vesnic koupit něco k jídlu.“16„Nemusejí odcházet,“ odpověděl jim Ježíš. „Vy jim dejte najíst.“17„Nic tu nemáme,“ namítli, „jen pět chlebů a dvě ryby.“18„Přineste mi je,“ řekl jim.19Nechal zástup posadit na trávě, vzal těch pět chlebů a dvě ryby, vzhlédl k nebi, požehnal, lámal a dával ty chleby učedníkům a učedníci zástupům.20A tak se všichni najedli do sytosti. Potom posbírali nalámané kousky, které zbyly: dvanáct plných košů.21Jedlo tam tehdy kolem pěti tisíc mužů kromě žen a dětí.
To jsem já!
22Hned potom přiměl učedníky, ať nastoupí na loď a jedou napřed na druhou stranu, než on propustí zástupy.23Když zástupy propustil, vystoupil o samotě na horu, aby se modlil. Pozdě večer tam zůstal sám.24Loď už byla daleko od břehu, zmítána vlnami, protože vítr vál proti ní.25Krátce před svítáním[3] se k nim Ježíš vydal pěšky po hladině.26Když ho učedníci uviděli kráčet po jezeře, vyděsili se a křičeli strachy: „To je přízrak!“27„Vzchopte se, to jsem já!“ promluvil na ně hned Ježíš. „Nebojte se.“28„Pane, jestli jsi to ty,“ odpověděl mu Petr, „přikaž, ať k tobě přijdu po vodě.“29„Pojď!“ řekl mu. A Petr vystoupil z lodi a kráčel po vodě, aby přišel k Ježíši.30Když ale viděl, jak silný je vítr, dostal strach a začal se topit. „Pane, zachraň mě!“ vykřikl.31Ježíš ihned vztáhl ruku a chytil ho. „Proč jsi pochyboval, malověrný?“ řekl mu.32Jakmile pak nastoupili na loď, vítr se utišil.33Ti, kdo byli na lodi, se mu začali klanět a říkali: „Ty jsi opravdu Boží Syn!“34Když se přeplavili, přistáli u Genezaretu.35Místní ho poznali a rozeslali posly po celém okolí. Přinesli k němu všechny nemocné36a prosili ho, aby se směli aspoň dotknout cípu jeho roucha. A kdokoli se ho dotkl, byl uzdraven.

Die Enthauptung des Täufers
3Herodes hatte nämlich Johannes festnehmen und in Ketten ins Gefängnis werfen lassen wegen der Herodias, der Frau seines Bruders Philippus. (Mk 6,17; L 3,19)4Denn Johannes hatte zu ihm gesagt: Es ist dir nicht erlaubt, sie zur Frau zu haben. (Lv 18,16; Lv 20,21)5Dieser wollte ihn töten lassen, fürchtete sich aber vor dem Volk; denn man hielt Johannes für einen Propheten. (Mt 21,26)6Als aber der Geburtstag des Herodes war, tanzte die Tochter der Herodias vor ihnen. Und sie gefiel Herodes,7sodass er mit einem Eid zusagte, ihr zu geben, was immer sie sich wünschte.8Sie aber, angestiftet von ihrer Mutter, sagte: Gib mir hier auf einer Schale den Kopf Johannes des Täufers!9Und der König, der traurig wurde wegen der Eide und wegen der Gäste, befahl, den Kopf zu bringen.10Und er schickte und ließ Johannes im Gefängnis enthaupten.11Man brachte seinen Kopf auf einer Schale und gab ihn dem Mädchen und sie brachte ihn ihrer Mutter.12Und seine Jünger kamen, holten den Leichnam und begruben ihn. Dann gingen sie und berichteten es Jesus.
Die Speisung der Fünftausend
13Als Jesus das hörte, zog er sich allein von dort mit dem Boot in eine einsame Gegend zurück. Aber die Volksscharen hörten davon und folgten ihm zu Fuß aus den Städten nach. (Mt 15,32; Mk 6,31; Mk 8,1; L 9,10; J 6,1)14Als er ausstieg, sah er die vielen Menschen und hatte Mitleid mit ihnen und heilte ihre Kranken. (Mt 9,36)15Als es Abend wurde, kamen die Jünger zu ihm und sagten: Der Ort ist abgelegen und es ist schon spät geworden. Schick die Leute weg, damit sie in die Dörfer gehen und sich etwas zu essen kaufen!16Jesus aber antwortete: Sie brauchen nicht wegzugehen. Gebt ihr ihnen zu essen!17Sie sagten zu ihm: Wir haben nur fünf Brote und zwei Fische hier.18Er antwortete: Bringt sie mir her!19Dann ordnete er an, die Leute sollten sich ins Gras setzen. Und er nahm die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, blickte zum Himmel auf, sprach den Lobpreis, brach die Brote und gab sie den Jüngern; die Jünger aber gaben sie den Leuten20und alle aßen und wurden satt. Und sie sammelten die übrig gebliebenen Brotstücke ein, zwölf Körbe voll. (2Kr 4,44)21Es waren etwa fünftausend Männer, die gegessen hatten, dazu noch Frauen und Kinder.
Die Offenbarung des Gottessohnes auf dem Wasser
22Gleich darauf drängte er die Jünger, ins Boot zu steigen und an das andere Ufer vorauszufahren. Inzwischen wollte er die Leute nach Hause schicken. (Mk 6,45; J 6,15)23Nachdem er sie weggeschickt hatte, stieg er auf einen Berg, um für sich allein zu beten. Als es Abend wurde, war er allein dort. (L 6,12)24Das Boot aber war schon viele Stadien vom Land entfernt und wurde von den Wellen hin und her geworfen; denn sie hatten Gegenwind.25In der vierten Nachtwache kam er zu ihnen; er ging auf dem See.26Als ihn die Jünger über den See kommen sahen, erschraken sie, weil sie meinten, es sei ein Gespenst, und sie schrien vor Angst.27Doch sogleich sprach Jesus zu ihnen und sagte: Habt Vertrauen, ich bin es; fürchtet euch nicht!28Petrus erwiderte ihm und sagte: Herr, wenn du es bist, so befiehl, dass ich auf dem Wasser zu dir komme!29Jesus sagte: Komm! Da stieg Petrus aus dem Boot und kam über das Wasser zu Jesus.30Als er aber den heftigen Wind bemerkte, bekam er Angst. Und als er begann unterzugehen, schrie er: Herr, rette mich!31Jesus streckte sofort die Hand aus, ergriff ihn und sagte zu ihm: Du Kleingläubiger, warum hast du gezweifelt? (Mt 8,26)32Und als sie ins Boot gestiegen waren, legte sich der Wind.33Die Jünger im Boot aber fielen vor Jesus nieder und sagten: Wahrhaftig, Gottes Sohn bist du. (Mt 16,16; J 1,49; J 11,27)
Heilungen in Gennesaret
34Sie fuhren auf das Ufer zu und kamen nach Gennesaret. (Mk 6,53)35Als die Leute jener Gegend ihn erkannten, schickten sie in die ganze Umgebung. Und man brachte alle Kranken zu ihm36und bat ihn, er möge sie wenigstens den Saum seines Gewandes berühren lassen. Und alle, die ihn berührten, wurden geheilt. (Mt 9,21)

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
13Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. Jesus Walks on the Water
22Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. Jesus Heals the Sick in Gennesaret
34And when they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. (Mk 6,53; L 5,1; J 6,24)35And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent around to all that region and brought to him all who were sick (Mt 4,24)36and implored him that they might only touch the fringe of his garment.
