1 Mluvil pak Hospodin k Mojžíšovi po smrti dvou synů Aronových, kteřížto, když předstoupili před Hospodina, zemřeli, 2 A řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi: Mluv Aronovi bratru svému, ať nevchází každého času do svatyně za oponu před slitovnici, kteráž jest na truhle, aby neumřel; nebo já v oblace ukáži se nad slitovnicí. 3 S tímto vcházeti bude Aron do svatyně: S volkem mladým, kterýž bude v obět za hřích, a s beranem k oběti zápalné. 4 V sukni lněnou svatou obleče se, a košilku lněnou bude míti na těle hanby své, pasem také lněným opáše se, a čepici lněnou vstaví na hlavu, roucha zajisté svatá jsou tato; i umyje vodou tělo své a obleče se v ně. 5 Od shromáždění pak synů Izraelských vezme dva kozly k oběti za hřích, a jednoho berana k zápalné oběti. 6 I bude obětovati Aron volka svého v obět za hřích, a očistí sebe i dům svůj. 7 Potom vezme ty dva kozly a postaví je před Hospodinem u dveří stánku úmluvy. 8 I dá Aron na ty dva kozly losy, los jeden Hospodinu, a los druhý Azazel. 9 A obětovati bude Aron kozla toho, na něhož by los padl Hospodinu, obětovati jej bude za hřích. 10 Kozla pak toho, na něhož přišel los Azazel, postaví živého před Hospodinem, aby skrze něho učinil očištění, a pustí ho na poušť k Azazel. 11 I bude obětovati Aron volka svého v obět za hřích, a očistí sebe i dům svůj, a zabije volka svého v obět za hřích. 12 Vezme také plnou kadidlnici uhlí řeřavého s oltáře, kterýž jest před tváří Hospodinovou, a plné obě hrsti své vonných věcí stlučených, a vnese za oponu. 13 A vloží kadidlo to na oheň před Hospodinem, a dým kadění toho přikryje slitovnici, kteráž jest nad svědectvím, a neumře. 14 Potom vezma krve volka toho, pokropí prstem svým na slitovnicí k východu; tolikéž před slitovnicí kropiti bude sedmkrát krví tou prstem svým. 15 Zabije také v obět za hřích kozla toho, kterýž jest lidu, a vnese krev jeho do vnitřku za oponu, a učiní se krví jeho, jakož učinil se krví volka, totiž pokropí jí na slitovnici a před slitovnicí. 16 A očistí svatyni od nečistot synů Izraelských a od přestoupení jejich i všech hříchů jejich. Totéž učiní i stánku úmluvy, kterýž jest mezi nimi u prostřed nečistot jejich. 17 (Žádný pak člověk ať není v stánku úmluvy, když on vchází k očišťování do svatyně, dokudž by on zase nevyšel a očištění za sebe, za dům svůj i za všecko množství Izraelské nevykonal.) 18 Vyjde pak k oltáři, kterýž jest před Hospodinem, a očistí jej. A vezma krve volka toho, a ze krve kozla, dá na rohy oltáře vůkol. 19 A pokropí ho svrchu krví tou prstem svým sedmkrát, a očistí jej i posvětí ho od nečistot synů Izraelských. 20 A když by dokonal očištění svatyně a stánku úmluvy a oltáře, obětovati bude kozla živého. 21 A vlože Aron obě ruce své na hlavu kozla živého, vyznávati bude nad ním všecky nepravosti synů Izraelských, a všecka přestoupení jejich se všemi hříchy jejich, a vloží je na hlavu kozla, a vyžene ho člověk k tomu zřízený na poušť. 22 (Kozel ten zajisté ponese na sobě všecky nepravosti jejich do země pusté.) A pustí kozla toho na poušti. 23 Potom pak přijda Aron do stánku úmluvy, svleče s sebe roucha lněná, v něž se byl oblékl, když vjíti měl do svatyně, a nechá jich tu. 24 A umyje tělo své vodou na místě svatém, a obleče se zase v roucha svá, a vyjda, obětovati bude obět zápalnou svou a obět zápalnou lidu, a očistí sebe i lid. 25 A tuk oběti za hřích páliti bude na oltáři. 26 Ten pak, kterýž vyvedl kozla na Azazel, zpéře roucha svá, a zmyje tělo své vodou, a potom vejde do stanů. 27 Volka pak za hřích a kozla za hřích, jejichž krev vnesena byla k vykonání očištění v svatyni, vynese ven z táboru, a spálí ohněm kůže jejich, i maso jejich, i lejna jejich. 28 Kdož by pak spálil je, zpéře roucha svá, a umyje tělo své vodou, a potom vejde do táboru. 29 Bude vám i toto za věčné ustanovení: Sedmého měsíce, desátého dne téhož měsíce ponižovati budete duší svých, a žádného díla nebudete dělati, ani doma zrozený, ani příchozí, kterýž jest pohostinu mezi vámi. 30 Nebo v ten den očistí vás, abyste očištěni byli; ode všech hříchů svých před Hospodinem očištěni budete. 31 Sobota odpočinutí bude vám, a ponižovati budete duší svých ustanovením věčným. 32 Očišťovati pak bude kněz, kterýž jest pomazaný, a jehož ruce posvěceny jsou k vykonávání úřadu kněžského místo otce svého, a obleče se v roucha lněná, roucha svatá. 33 A očistí svatyni svatou a stánek úmluvy, očistí také i oltář, i kněží, i všecken lid shromážděný očistí. 34 A bude vám to ustanovením věčným k očišťování synů Izraelských ode všech hříchů jejich, každého roku jednou. I učinil Mojžíš tak, jakž jemu byl přikázal Hospodin.

Toho kozla vyžene na poušť. 23 Potom vstoupí Áron do stanu setkávání a svlékne lněné roucho, které si oblékl při vstupu do svatyně, a zanechá je tam. 24 Celý se omyje vodou na svatém místě a obleče si své roucho. Budete před Hospodinem čisti. 31 Bude to pro vás den odpočinku, slavnost odpočinutí. Budete se pokořovat. To je provždy platné nařízení. 32 Smírčí obřady bude vykonávat kněz, který je pomazán a uveden v úřad, aby sloužil jako kněz místo svého otce, a který smí oblékat svaté lněné roucho. 33 Ten vykoná smírčí obřady za velesvatyni, vykoná smírčí obřady za stan setkávání a za oltář; také za kněze i za shromáždění všeho lidu vykoná smírčí obřady. 34 To pro vás bude provždy platné nařízení: jednou v roce vykoná za Izraelce smírčí obřady, aby byli zbaveni všech svých hříchů.“ I učinil Mojžíš, jak mu Hospodin přikázal.

Tak jej očistí a posvětí od nečistot synů Izraele. 20 Když tedy dokončí očišťování nejsvětější svatyně, Stanu setkávání a oltáře, přivede toho živého kozla. 21 Áron vloží obě ruce na hlavu živého kozla a bude nad ním vyznávat všechny viny synů Izraele, všechna jejich provinění a hříchy; tak je vloží na kozlovu hlavu. Potom ho nechá člověkem k tomu připraveným vyhnat na poušť 22 a kozel na sobě odnese všechny jejich viny do odlehlé země. Nebudete dělat žádnou práci – domácí ani přistěhovalec, který žije u vás. 30 V tento den za vás bude vykonáno smíření a budete očištěni; před Hospodinem budete čistí ode všech svých hříchů. 31 Bude to pro vás sobota všech sobot,^[4] kdy se budete pokorně postit – to je věčné ustanovení. 32 Smíření vykoná kněz, který bude pomazán a pověřen ke kněžské službě místo svého otce: oblékne si svatá plátěná roucha, 33 očistí nejsvětější svatyni i Stan setkávání, očistí oltář i kněží, očistí také všechen shromážděný lid. 34 Toto se vám stane věčným ustanovením. Jednou za rok budou synové Izraele očišťováni ode všech svých hříchů.“ A stalo se, jak Hospodin přikázal Mojžíšovi.

Er soll etwas Blut des Jungstiers und des Bockes nehmen und es auf die Hörner rings um den Altar tun. 19 Etwas von diesem Blut soll er mit seinem Finger siebenmal auf den Altar spritzen. So soll er ihn von den Unreinheiten der Israeliten reinigen und ihn heiligen. 20 Hat er es vollendet, für das Heiligtum, das Offenbarungszelt und den Altar Sühne zu erwirken, soll er den lebenden Bock herbringen lassen. 21 Aaron soll seine beiden Hände auf den Kopf des lebenden Bockes legen und über ihm alle Schuld der Israeliten und alle ihre Frevel mitsamt all ihrer Sünden bekennen. Nachdem er sie so auf den Kopf des Bockes geladen hat, soll er ihn durch einen bereitstehenden Mann in die Wüste schicken (Lv 5,5) 22 und der Bock soll alle ihre Sünden mit sich in die Einöde tragen. Hat er den Bock in die Wüste geschickt, (Lv 14,7) 23 dann soll Aaron wieder in das Offenbarungszelt gehen, die Leinengewänder, die er beim Betreten des Heiligtums angelegt hat, ablegen und sie dort verwahren. 24 Er soll seinen Körper in Wasser an einem heiligen Ort baden, wieder seine Kleider anlegen und hinausgehen, um sein Brandopfer und das des Volkes darzubringen. Er soll für sich und das Volk Versöhnung erwirken 25 und das Fett des Sündopfers auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen. 26 Der Mann, der den Bock für Asasel weggeschickt hat, muss seine Kleider waschen, seinen Körper in Wasser baden und darf danach wieder in das Lager kommen. 27 Den Jungstier und den Bock, die man als Sündopfer dargebracht und deren Blut man hereingebracht hat, um im Heiligtum Versöhnung zu erwirken, soll man aus dem Lager hinausschaffen und ihr Fell, ihr Fleisch und ihren Mageninhalt im Feuer verbrennen. 28 Wer sie verbrannt hat, muss seine Kleider waschen, den Körper in Wasser baden und darf danach wieder ins Lager kommen. 29 Folgendes soll euch als ewige Satzung gelten: Im siebten Monat, am zehnten Tag des Monats, sollt ihr euch Enthaltung auferlegen und keinerlei Arbeit tun, der Einheimische und ebenso der Fremde, der in eurer Mitte lebt. (Lv 23,26; Nu 29,7) 30 Denn an diesem Tag erwirkt man für euch Versöhnung, um euch zu reinigen. Vor dem HERRN werdet ihr von allen euren Sünden wieder rein. 31 Dieser Tag ist für euch ein vollständiger Ruhetag und ihr sollt euch Enthaltung auferlegen. Das gelte als ewige Satzung. 32 Der Priester, den man gesalbt und dem man die Hand gefüllt hat, anstelle seines Vaters Priester zu sein, soll die Versöhnung erwirken. Er soll die Leinengewänder, die heiligen Gewänder, anlegen. (Ex 28,41; Ex 29,29; Lv 8,12; Lv 21,10)

3 But in this way Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with a bull from the herd for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
