1 I mluvil Hospodin k Jozue, řka: 2 Mluv k synům Izraelským, a rci jim:Oddejte z těch měst vašich města útočišťná, o nichž jsem mluvil vám skrze Mojžíše, 3 Aby tam utekl vražedlník, kterýž by zabil člověka nechtě a z nevědomí. I budou vám útočiště před přítelem zabitého. 4 A když by utekl do jednoho z těch měst, stane u vrat v bráně města, a oznámí starším města toho při svou; i přijmou ho do města k sobě, a dají mu místo, i bydliti bude u nich. 5 Když by jej pak honil přítel toho zabitého, nevydají vražedlníka v ruce jeho; nebo nechtě udeřil bližního svého, neměv ho prvé v nenávisti. 6 A bydliti bude v městě tom, dokudž nestane před shromážděním k soudu, až do smrti kněze velikého, kterýž by byl toho času; nebo tehdáž navrátí se vražedlník, a přijde do města svého a do domu svého, do města, odkudž utekl. 7 I oddělili Kádes v Galilei na hoře Neftalím, a Sichem na hoře Efraim, a město Arbe, (jenž jest Hebron,) na hoře Juda. 8 Před Jordánem pak proti Jerichu k východu oddělili Bozor, kteréž leží na poušti v rovině pokolení Rubenova, a Rámot v Galád z pokolení Gádova, a Golan v Bázan z pokolení Manassesova. 9 Ta města byla útočišťná všechněm synům Izraelským, i příchozímu, kterýž pohostinu jest mezi nimi, aby utekl tam, kdo by koli zabil někoho nechtě, a nesešel od ruky přítele toho zabitého prvé, než by stál před shromážděním.

SMĚRNICE PRO ŽIVOT V ZASLÍBENÉ ZEMI - — Útočištná města - Šest měst je odděleno, aby tam byl ohrožený chráněn před krevní mstou.

1 Hospodin promluvil k Jozuovi: 2 „Mluv k Izraelcům: Určete si útočištná města, jak jsem vám uložil skrze Mojžíše. 3 Tam ať se uteče ten, kdo zabil, pokud někoho zabil nedopatřením, neúmyslně. Budou vám za útočiště před krevním mstitelem. 4 Kdo by se utekl do některého z těchto měst, postaví se při vchodu do městské brány a přednese svou záležitost starším toho města. Pak ho přijmou k sobě do města a určí mu místo, aby s nimi bydlel. 5 Když ho bude pronásledovat krevní mstitel, nesmějí mu toho, kdo zabil, vydat do rukou, poněvadž zabil svého bližního neúmyslně, aniž ho kdy předtím nenáviděl. 6 Bude bydlet v tom městě, dokud se nepostaví před pospolitost k soudu, případně do smrti velekněze, který v těch dnech bude vykonávat svůj úřad. Tehdy se ten, kdo zabil, smí vrátit do svého města a ke své rodině, do města, odkud utekl.“ 7 I oddělili jako svatý Kedeš v Galileji v pohoří Neftalíově, Šekem v pohoří Efrajimově a Kirjat-arbu, to je Chebrón, v pohoří Judově. 8 V Zajordání pak určili na východ od Jericha Beser ve stepi na Náhorní rovině v pokolení Rúbenově, Rámot v Gileádu v pokolení Gádově a Gólan v Bášanu v pokolení Manasesově. 9 To jsou smluvní města pro všechny Izraelce i pro bezdomovce, kteří budou mezi vámi pobývat. Tam ať se uteče každý, kdo by někoho zabil nedopatřením; nezemře rukou krevního mstitele, dokud se nepostaví před shromáždění.

Útočištná města

1 Hospodin tehdy promluvil k Jozuovi: 2 „Řekni synům Izraele: Určete si útočištná města, jak jsem vám pověděl skrze Mojžíše,^[1] 3 aby se tam uchýlil ten, kdo někoho nedopatřením nechtěně zabil. Budou vám sloužit za útočiště před krevní mstou. 4 Když se provinilý uteče do jednoho z těchto měst, postaví se ke vchodu do městské brány a přednese svou věc stařešinům města. Ti ho pak přijmou k sobě do města a poskytnou mu místo, aby bydlel u nich. 5 Když ho bude pronásledovat krevní mstitel, nevydají mu ho, poněvadž svého bližního zabil nechtěně, aniž ho kdy předtím měl v nenávisti. 6 Bude v tomto městě bydlet, dokud se nepostaví před obec k soudu, a poté až do smrti toho, kdo bude v té době nejvyšším knězem. Teprve tehdy se ten, kdo zabil, bude moci vrátit zpět domů do města, odkud uprchl.“ 7 Vyčlenili tedy Kedeš v Galileji v pohoří Neftalí, dále Šechem v pohoří Efraim a Kiriat-arbu (což je Hebron) v Judském pohoří. 8 Na východní straně Jordánu naproti Jerichu vybrali z Rubenova pokolení město Becer na pusté náhorní rovině, z pokolení Gád vybrali Rámot v Gileádu a z Manasesova pokolení Golan v Bášanu. 9 To jsou města určená všem synům Izraele i cizincům pobývajícím mezi nimi; kdokoli někoho nechtěně zabil, uchýlí se tam, aby nezemřel rukou krevního mstitele, dokud se nepostaví před obec.

Asylstädte

1 Damals sagte der HERR zu Josua: (Nu 35,9; Dt 19,1) 2 Sag den Israeliten: Bestimmt die Asylstädte bei euch, von denen ich zu euch durch Mose gesprochen habe! 3 Dorthin kann jeder fliehen, der getötet hat, das heißt, der versehentlich, ohne Vorsatz, einen Menschen erschlagen hat. Die Städte sollen euch als Asyl vor dem Bluträcher dienen. 4 Wenn jemand in eine von diesen Städten flieht, soll er am Eingang des Stadttors stehen bleiben und den Ältesten der Stadt seine Sache vortragen. Sie sollen ihn zu sich in die Stadt aufnehmen und ihm eine Unterkunft geben, damit er bei ihnen bleiben kann. 5 Wenn dann der Bluträcher ihn verfolgt, sollen sie ihm den, der getötet hat, nicht ausliefern; denn er hat seinen Nächsten versehentlich erschlagen und ohne ihn vorher gehasst zu haben. 6 Er soll in dieser Stadt bleiben, bis er vor die Gemeinde zur Gerichtsverhandlung treten kann, bis zum Tod des Hohepriesters, der in jenen Tagen im Amt ist. Dann darf der, der getötet hat, wieder in seine Stadt und in sein Haus zurückkehren - in die Stadt, aus der er geflohen ist. 7 Man wählte also Kedesch in Galiläa, im Gebirge Naftali, aus, ferner Sichem im Gebirge Efraim und Kirjat-Arba, das ist Hebron, im Gebirge Juda. 8 Jenseits des Jordan, östlich von Jericho, bestimmte man Bezer in der Steppe, in der Ebene, vom Stamm Ruben, Ramot in Gilead vom Stamm Gad und Golan im Baschan vom Stamm Manasse. 9 Das waren die Asylstädte für alle Israeliten und für die Fremden, die sich bei ihnen aufhielten. Dorthin konnte jeder, der ohne Vorsatz einen Menschen erschlagen hatte, fliehen, um nicht durch die Hand des Bluträchers zu sterben, bevor er vor der Gemeinde gestanden hätte.

3 that the manslayer who strikes any person without intent or unknowingly may flee there. They shall be for you a refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 He shall flee to one of these cities and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and explain his case to the elders of that city. Then they shall take him into the city and give him a place, and he shall remain with them. (Dt 21,19; Rt 4,1; Ž 127,5) 5 And if the avenger of blood pursues him, they shall not give up the manslayer into his hand, because he struck his neighbor unknowingly, and did not hate him in the past. 6 And he shall remain in that city until he has stood before the congregation for judgment, until the death of him who is high priest at the time.
