1 Shromáždilo se pak všecko množství synů Izraelských do Sílo, a tu postavili stánek úmluvy, když již země od nich podmaněna byla. 2 Pozůstalo pak z synů Izraelských, jimž ještě nebylo rozděleno dědictví jejich, sedmero pokolení. 3 I řekl Jozue synům Izraelským: I dokudž zanedbáváte vjíti, abyste se uvázali v zemi, kterouž vám dal Hospodin Bůh otců vašich? 4 Vydejte z sebe z každého pokolení tři muže, ať je pošli, aby vstanouce, zchodili zemi, a popsali ji vedlé dědictví svých; potom navrátí se ke mně. 5 I rozdělí ji na sedm dílů. Juda zůstane v končinách svých od poledne, a čeledi Jozefovy zůstanou v končinách svých od půlnoci. 6 Vy pak, když popíšete zemi na sedm dílů, přinesete sem ke mně; tedy uvrhu vám losy zde před Hospodinem Bohem naším. 7 Nebo nemají dílu Levítové u prostřed vás, proto že kněžství Hospodinovo jest dědictví jejich; Gád pak a Ruben, a polovice pokolení Manassesova, vzali dědictví své před Jordánem na východ, kteréž dal jim Mojžíš, služebník Hospodinův. 8 Protož vstavše muži ti, odešli. A přikázal Jozue těm, kteříž šli, aby popsali zemi, řka: Jděte a projděte zemi, a popište ji; potom navraťte se ke mně, a uvrhu zde losy před Hospodinem v Sílo. 9 Tedy odešli muži, a prošedše zemi, popsali ji po městech na sedm dílů na knize, a navrátili se k Jozue do stanů v Sílo. 10 I uvrhl jim losy Jozue v Sílo před Hospodinem, a rozdělil tu Jozue zemi synům Izraelským vedlé dílů jejich. 11 Padl pak los pokolení synů Beniaminových po čeledech jejich, a přišla meze dílu jejich mezi syny Juda a syny Jozefovy. 12 A byla meze jejich k straně půlnoční od Jordánu, a šla při straně půlnoční Jericha, a táhla se na hory k moři, a skonávala se při poušti Betaven. 13 A odtud přechází ta meze do Lůz, při straně Lůz polední, (jenž jest Bethel,) a chýlí se ta meze do Atarot Addar vedlé hory, kteráž jest od poledne Betoron dolního. 14 Odkudž obchází vůkol k straně moře na poledne od hory, kteráž jest proti Betoron ku polední, a konec její jest Kariatbaal, (jenž jest Kariatjeharim), město synů Juda. Ta jest strana západní. 15 Strana pak ku poledni od konce Kariatjeharim, a vychází ta meze k moři, a přichází až k studnici vod Neftoa. 16 A táhne se táž meze k konci hory, kteráž jest naproti údolí synů Hinnom, a jest v údolí Refaim na půlnoci, a běží skrze údolí Hinnom po straně Jebuzea na poledne, a přichází k studnici Rogel. 17 Potom točí se od půlnoci, a dochází k Ensemes, a vychází do Gelilot, kteréž jest naproti místu, kudy se jde do Adomim, a sstupuje k kameni Bohana, syna Rubenova. 18 Odtud přechází k straně, kteráž jest naproti rovinám strany půlnoční, a táhne se do Araba. 19 Odtud jde k straně Betogla na půlnoci, a skonává se meze ta při zátoce moře slaného od půlnoční strany, tu kdež vpadá Jordán do moře na polední straně. To jest pomezí ku poledni. 20 Jordán také je odděluje k straně východní. To jest dědictví synů Beniaminových s mezemi svými vůkol a vůkol po čeledech jejich. 21 A byla města tato pokolení synů Beniaminových po čeledech jejich: Jericho, Betogla a údolí Kasis; 22 A Betaraba, Semaraim a Bethel; 23 A Avim, též Afara a Ofra; 24 A Cefer, Hamona, Ofni a Gaba, měst dvanácta vsi jejich; 25 Gabaon, Ráma a Berot; 26 Masfa, Kafira a Mosa; 27 Rekem, Jarefel a Tarela; 28 A Sela, Elef a Jebus, (jenž jest Jeruzalém,) Gibat, Kariat, měst čtrnácte i vsi jejich. — Ostatní pokolení - Na shromáždění v Šílu dostává své dědičné území zbývajících sedm pokolení a nakonec i Jozue.

1 Celá pospolitost Izraelců se shromáždila do Šíla a postavili tam stan setkávání. Zemi si už podmanili. 2 Mezi Izraelci zůstalo však ještě sedm kmenů, kterým nepřidělili dědičný podíl. 3 Tu řekl Jozue Izraelcům: „Jak dlouho budete otálet, než konečně obsadíte zemi, kterou vám dal Hospodin, Bůh vašich otců? 4 Určete si za každý kmen tři muže. Pošlu je, aby se vydali na cestu a prošli zemi. Až pořídí její popis podle příslušných dědičných podílů, přijdou ke mně. 5 Rozdělí si ji na sedm podílů. Juda zůstane na svém území na jihu a dům Josefův zůstane na svém území na severu. 6 Vy pak pořídíte popis země, rozdělený na sedm podílů, a přinesete jej sem ke mně a já vám ji přidělím losem zde před Hospodinem, naším Bohem. 7 Lévijci nebudou mít mezi vámi žádný podíl, jejich dědičným podílem bude Hospodinovo kněžství. A Gád, Rúben a polovice Manasesova kmene dostali své dědičné podíly na východě v Zajordání, jak jim je dal Mojžíš, služebník Hospodinův.“ 8 Mužové se tedy vydali na cestu a Jozue přikázal těm, kteří šli pořídit popis země: „Jděte a projděte zemi. Až pořídíte její popis, vrátíte se ke mně a já zde v Šílu před Hospodinem vylosuji vaše podíly.“ 9 Mužové šli, prošli zemi a pořídili její popis podle měst, rozdělený na sedm podílů. Pak přišli k Jozuovi do tábora v Šílu 10 a Jozue jim v Šílu před Hospodinem přidělil losem podíly. Jozue tam rozdělil Izraelcům zemi podle jejich podílů. 11 První los byl vytažen pokolení Benjamínovců pro jejich čeledi: bylo jim vylosováno území mezi Judovci a Josefovci. 12 Toto je jejich hranice na severní straně: začíná u Jordánu a stoupá ke skalnímu hřebenu severně od Jericha. Směrem na západ vystupuje do pohoří a vybíhá k Bétávenské poušti. 13 Odtud pokračuje hranice k Lúzu, ke skalnímu hřebenu jižně od Lúzu, to je Bét-elu, a sestupuje k Atarót-adaru proti hoře, která je na jih od Dolního Bét-chorónu. 14 Pak hranice odbočuje a stáčí se na západní straně k jihu od hory, která je jižně proti Bét-chorónu, a vybíhá ke Kirjat-baalu, to je Kirjat-jearímu, městu Judovců. To je západní strana. 15 Jižní strana: od okraje Kirjat-jearímu se táhne hranice na západ a vede k prameni vod Neftóachu. 16 Pak sestupuje k úpatí hory, která je naproti Údolí syna Hinómova; leží na severu v dolině Refájců. Údolím hinómským sestupuje ke skalnímu hřebenu Jebúsejců na jihu. Pak sestupuje k prameni Rogelu. 17 Zabočuje od severu a vede k Slunečnímu prameni a táhne se podle Kruhů, které leží naproti Adumímskému svahu. Potom sestupuje ke kameni Rúbenovce Bohana. 18 Pokračuje severně ke skalnímu hřebenu nad Jordánskou pustinou a sestupuje do pustiny. 19 Pak pokračuje na sever ke skalnímu hřebenu u Bét-chogly a vybíhá k severní zátoce Solného moře při ústí Jordánu na jihu. To je jižní hranice. 20 Na východní straně tvoří jejich hranici Jordán. To je dědičný podíl Benjamínovců pro jejich čeledi, vymezený svými hranicemi dokola. 21 Pokolení Benjamínovců a jejich čeledím patřila města: Jericho, Bét-chogla a Emek-kesis, 22 Bét-araba, Semárajim a Bét-el, 23 Avím, Para a Ofra, 24 Kefar-amóní, Ofní a Geba, dvanáct měst s dvorci; 25 Gibeón, Ráma a Beerót, 26 Mispe, Kefíra a Mósa, 27 Rekem, Jirpeel a Tarala, 28 Sela, Elef a město Jebúsejcovo, to je Jeruzalém, Gibeat, Kirjat, čtrnáct měst i s dvorci. To je dědičný podíl Benjamínovců pro jejich čeledi.

1 Celá izraelská obec se shromáždila v Šílu, kde postavili Stan setkávání. Ty vyšlu, aby prošli tu zem a popsali ji podle svých dědictví. Až se potom ke mně vrátí, 5 rozdělí si ji na sedm podílů. Juda zůstane ve svých hranicích na jihu a dům Josefův zůstane ve svých hranicích na severu. 6 Až těch sedm podílů země popíšete, přinesete popis sem ke mně a já tu budu za vás losovat před Hospodinem, naším Bohem. 7 Levité totiž mezi vámi nemají podíl, neboť jejich dědictvím je Hospodinovo kněžství. A Gád, Ruben a polovina kmene Manasesova už přijali dědictví na východě v Zajordání, kde jim je přidělil Hospodinův služebník Mojžíš.“ 8 Muži se tedy vypravili na cestu, aby popsali tu zem. Jozue těm, kdo měli jít, přikázal: „Vzhůru, projděte zem, popište ji a vraťte se ke mně. Zde v Šílu pak budu za vás losovat před Hospodinem.“ 9 Muži tedy vyrazili, prošli tu zem a zapsali na svitek, jaká města připadají na sedm podílů. Potom se vrátili k Jozuovi do tábora v Šílu. 10 Jozue pak za ně v Šílu před Hospodinem losoval a přidělil synům Izraele území podle jejich podílů.

Benjamín

11 První los vyšel na pokolení Benjamín pro jejich rody. Území, které jim losem připadlo, leží mezi syny Judovými a syny Josefovými. 12 Na severní straně začíná jejich hranice u Jordánu, odkud pokračuje přes severní svah Jericha, směřuje na západ do hor a sahá až k bet-avenské poušti. 13 Odtud hranice postupuje k jižnímu svahu Luzu (což je Bet-el) a pokračuje dolů k Atarot-adaru přes vrchovinu jižně od Dolního Bet-choronu. 14 Zde na západní straně mění hranice směr, stáčí se na jih od hory ležící jižně od Bet-choronu a sahá až ke Kiriat-baalu (což je Kiriat-jearim, město synů Judových). To je západní strana. 15 Jižní strana začíná na západě okrajem Kiriat-jearimu, odkud hranice postupuje k vodnímu prameni Neftoach. 16 Hranice potom klesá k úpatí hory stojící před údolím Ben-hinom, na severní straně údolí Refaim. Potom sestupuje údolím Hinom ke skalnímu hřebeni Jebusejců na jihu a dolů k En-rogelu. 17 Stáčí se na sever a míří k En-šemeši a dále ke Gelilotu naproti průsmyku Adumim. Sestupuje ke kameni Rubenova syna Bohana, 18 vede ke srázu severně od Bet-aravy,^[1] kde klesá do Aravy. 19 Dále pokračuje přes severní svah Bet-chogly, než dosáhne k severnímu zálivu Mrtvého moře u jižního konce Jordánu. To je jižní hranice. 20 Na východní straně tvoří hranici Jordán. Toto je dědictví synů Benjamínových, jak je pro jejich rody vymezeno hranicemi kolem dokola. 21 Pokolení Benjamín připadla pro jejich rody tato města: Jericho, Bet-chogla, Emek-kecic, 22 Bet-arava, Cemaraim, Bet-el, 23 Avim, Para, Ofra, 24 Kfar-amona, Ofni a Geba – celkem dvanáct měst s osadami. 25 Dále Gibeon, Ráma, Beerot, 26 Micpe, Kefira, Moca, 27 Rekem, Jir-peel, Tarala, 28 Cela, Elef, Jebus (což je Jeruzalém), Gibeat a Kiriat – celkem čtrnáct měst s osadami. Dort schlugen sie das Offenbarungszelt auf; das ganze Land lag unterworfen vor ihnen. 2 Aber noch waren von den Israeliten sieben Stämme übrig, die ihren Erbbesitz nicht zugeteilt bekommen hatten. 3 Da sagte Josua zu den Israeliten: Wie lange wollt ihr noch zögern, hinzugehen und das Land in Besitz zu nehmen, das der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, euch gegeben hat? 4 Bestellt euch drei Männer aus jedem Stamm; ich will sie aussenden. Sie sollen sich auf den Weg machen, im Lande umherziehen und es im Hinblick auf ihren Erbbesitz schriftlich aufnehmen. Dann sollen sie wieder zu mir kommen. 5 Ihr sollt es unter euch in sieben Teile aufteilen. Dann steigt die Grenze hinauf zum Bergrücken von Jericho im Norden und weiter nach Westen ins Gebirge hinauf und läuft sodann in die Steppe von Bet-Awen hinaus. 13 Von dort zieht sie sich hinüber nach Lus, südlich am Bergrücken von Lus, das ist Bet-El, vorbei; dann steigt sie nach Atrot- Addar hinab zu dem Berg, der südlich von Unter-Bet-Horon liegt. 14 Darauf biegt sie ab und wendet sich auf der Westseite nach Süden, von dem Berg aus, der Bet-Horon südlich gegenüberliegt. Sie läuft aus bei Kirjat-Baal, das ist Kirjat-Jearim, eine Stadt der Judäer. Das ist die Westseite. 15 Die Südseite beginnt am Rand von Kirjat-Jearim. Sie verläuft dann westwärts hin zur Neftoach-Quelle. 16 Dann zieht sie sich hinab zum Rand des Berges, der dem Ben-Hinnom-Tal gegenüber im Norden der Rafaïter-Ebene liegt. 2 There remained among the people of Israel seven tribes whose inheritance had not yet been apportioned. 3 So Joshua said to the people of Israel, “How long will you put off going in to take possession of the land, which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you? They shall write a description of it with a view to their inheritances, and then come to me. 5 They shall divide it into seven portions. 11 The lot of the tribe of the people of Benjamin according to its clans came up, and the territory allotted to it fell between the people of Judah and the people of Joseph. 12 On the north side their boundary began at the Jordan. Then the boundary goes up to the shoulder north of Jericho, then up through the hill country westward, and it ends at the wilderness of Beth-aven. (Jz 7,2; Jz 16,1; Jz 18,21) 13 From there the boundary passes along southward in the direction of Luz, to the shoulder of Luz (that is, Bethel), then the boundary goes down to Ataroth-addar, on the mountain that lies south of Lower Beth-horon. 14 Then the boundary goes in another direction, turning on the western side southward from the mountain that lies to the south, opposite Beth-horon, and it ends at Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), a city belonging to the people of Judah. This forms the western side. (Jz 15,9; Jz 19,11) 15 And the southern side begins at the outskirts of Kiriath-jearim. And the boundary goes from there to Ephron,^[1] to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah. (Jz 18,14) 16 Then the boundary goes down to the border of the mountain that overlooks the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which is at the north end of the Valley of Rephaim. And it then goes down the Valley of Hinnom, south of the shoulder of the Jebusites, and downward to En-rogel. And the land was subdued before them. 2 And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. 3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you? 4 Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me. 5 And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north. 6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God. 7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. 8 And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh. 9 And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh. 10 And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions. 11 And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph. 12 And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Bethaven. 13 And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Bethhoron. 14 And the border was drawn thence , and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Bethhoron southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter. 15 And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjathjearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah: 16 And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel, 17 And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben, 18 And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah: 19 And the border passed along to the side of Bethhoglah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast. 20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families. 21 Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Bethhoglah, and the valley of Keziz, 22 And Betharabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel, 23 And Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah, 24 And Chepharhaammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their villages: 25 Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth, 26 And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah, 27 And Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah, 28 And Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
