1Slovo,kteréž se stalo k Jeremiášovi od Hospodina, (když Nabuchodonozor král Babylonský, a všecko vojsko jeho, i všecka království země pod moc jeho přináležející, všickni také národové bojovali proti Jeruzalému a proti všechněm městům jeho), řkoucí:2Takto praví Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Jdi a rci Sedechiášovi králi Judskému, rci, pravím, jemu: Takto dí Hospodin: Aj, já dám toto město v ruku krále Babylonského, aby je vypálil ohněm.3I ty neznikneš ruky jeho, ale jistotně jat a v ruku jeho vydán budeš, a oči tvé uzří oči krále Babylonského, i ústa jeho s ústy tvými mluviti budou, a do Babylona se dostaneš.4A však slyš slovo Hospodinovo, Sedechiáši králi Judský: Takto praví Hospodin o tobě: Neumřeš od meče,5V pokoji umřeš. A jakož pálívali otcům tvým, králům předešlým, kteříž byli před tebou, tak páliti budou tobě, a říkajíce: Ach, pane, kvíliti budou nad tebou; nebo slovo toto já mluvil jsem, dí Hospodin.6I mluvil Jeremiáš prorok Sedechiášovi, králi Judskému, všecka slova ta v Jeruzalémě,7Když vojsko krále Babylonského bojovalo proti Jeruzalému a proti všechněm městům Judským ostatním, proti Lachis a proti Azeku; nebo ta byla pozůstala z měst Judských města hrazená.8Slovo, kteréž se stalo k Jeremiášovi od Hospodina, když učinil král Sedechiáš smlouvu se vším lidem, kterýž byl v Jeruzalémě, o vyhlášení jim svobody,9Aby propustil jeden každý služebníka svého a jeden každý děvku svou, Hebrejského neb Hebrejskou, svobodné, aby nepodroboval sobě v službu Žida, bratra svého, nižádný.10Tedy uposlechla všecka knížata a všecken lid, kterýž byl v smlouvu všel, aby propustil jeden každý služebníka svého a jeden každý děvku svou svobodné, aby nepodroboval jich v službu více; uposlechli, pravím, a propustili.11Potom pak rozmyslivše se, zase pobrali služebníky své a děvky své, kteréž byli propustili svobodné, a podrobili je sobě za služebníky a děvky.12I stalo se slovo Hospodinovo k Jeremiášovi od Hospodina, řkoucí:13Takto praví Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Já jsem učinil smlouvu s otci vašimi toho dne, když jsem je vyvedl z země Egyptské, z domu služebníků, řka:14Po vyplnění sedmi let propouštívejte jeden každý bratra svého Žida, kterýž by prodán byl tobě, a sloužilť by šest let, propusť, pravím, jej svobodného od sebe. Ale neuposlechli otcové vaši mne, aniž naklonili ucha svého.15Vy zajisté usmyslivše sobě dnes, učinili jste to, což jest spravedlivého před očima mýma, že jste vyhlásili svobodu jeden každý bližnímu svému, učinivše smlouvu před oblíčejem mým v domě tom, kterýž nazván jest od jména mého.16Ale zase zpáčivše se, zlehčili jste jméno mé, že jste vzali zase jeden každý služebníka svého a jeden každý děvku svou, kteréž jste byli propustili svobodné podlé žádosti jejich, a podrobili jste je, aby byli vaši služebníci a děvky.17Protož takto praví Hospodin: Vy neuposlechli jste mne, abyste vyhlásili svobodu jeden každý bratru svému, a jeden každý bližnímu svému, aj, já vyhlašuji proti vám svobodu, dí Hospodin, meči, moru a hladu, a vydám vás ku posmýkání po všech královstvích země.18Vydám zajisté ty lidi, jenž přestoupili smlouvu mou, kteříž nevykonali slov smlouvy té, kterouž učinili před oblíčejem mým, když tele rozťali na dvé, a prošli mezi díly jeho,19Totiž knížata Judská a knížata Jeruzalémská, komorníci, a kněží, i všecken lid té země, kteříž prošli mezi díly toho telete.20Vydám je, pravím, v ruku nepřátel jejich, a v ruku hledajících bezživotí jejich, i budou těla mrtvá jejich za pokrm ptactvu nebeskému, a šelmám zemským.21Sedechiáše také krále Judského, i knížata jeho vydám v ruku nepřátel jejich, a v ruku hledajících bezživotí jejich, v ruku, pravím, vojska krále Babylonského, kteříž odtáhli od vás.22Aj, já přikáži, dí Hospodin, a přivedu je zase na město toto, aby bojovali proti němu, a vezmouce je, vypálili je ohněm; města také Judská obrátím v poušť, tak že nebude žádného obyvatele.
— Slovo králi Sidkijášovi - Pro Jeruzalém už není naděje. Bude dobyt Babylóňany, ale králi Sidkijášovi je dána vyhlídka, že si zachrání aspoň holý život.
1 Slovo, které se stalo od Hospodina, k Jeremjášovi, když Nebúkadnesar, král babylónský, a všechno jeho vojsko a všechna království země ovládaná jeho rukou i všechny národy bojovali proti Jeruzalému a proti všem jeho městům:2 „Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Jdi a řekni Sidkijášovi, králi judskému: Toto praví Hospodin: Hle, vydám toto město do rukou babylónského krále a ten je vypálí.3 Ani ty mu z rukou neunikneš. Určitě budeš chycen, budeš mu vydán do rukou. Pohlédneš babylónskému králi do očí a on s tebou bude mluvit ústy k ústům. Přijdeš do Babylónu.4 Ale slyš slovo Hospodinovo, Sidkijáši, králi judský, toto o tobě praví Hospodin: Nezemřeš mečem,5 zemřeš pokojně. Jako spalovali vonné látky k poctě tvých otců, králů dřívějších, kteří byli před tebou, tak je budou spalovat i tobě. Budou nad tebou naříkat: ‚Běda, pane!‘ Já jsem promluvil to slovo, je výrok Hospodinův.“ 6 Prorok Jeremjáš mluvil v Jeruzalémě k Sidkijášovi, králi judskému, všechna tato slova.7 Vojsko babylónského krále bojovalo proti Jeruzalému a proti všem zbylým judským městům, proti Lakíši a Azece; z opevněných judských měst zůstala jen tato města.
— Zákon o otrocích porušen - Hospodina nelze oklamat. Chvilková poslušnost neodvrátí soud.
8 Slovo, které se stalo od Hospodina k Jeremjášovi, když král Sidkijáš uzavřel s veškerým lidem v Jeruzalémě smlouvu o vyhlášení svobody:9 „Každý ať propustí svého hebrejského otroka a každý svou hebrejskou otrokyni na svobodu, aby nikdo z Judejců neotročil svému bratru.“10 Všichni velmožové i všechen lid, kteří přistoupili k smlouvě, uposlechli a každý propustil svého otroka i svou otrokyni na svobodu, takže jim už nesloužili. Uposlechli a propustili je.11 Ale potom zas obrátili a donutili k návratu otroky a otrokyně, které propustili na svobodu. Podmanili si je opět za otroky a otrokyně. 12 I stalo se od Hospodina k Jeremjášovi slovo Hospodinovo.13 „Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Já jsem uzavřel smlouvu s vašimi otci v den, kdy jsem je vyvedl z egyptské země, z domu otroctví:14 ‚Koncem sedmého roku propustíte každý svého hebrejského bratra, který se ti prodal. Bude ti sloužit šest let a pak ho propustíš od sebe na svobodu.‘ Ale vaši otcové mě neposlechli a nenaklonili ucho.15 Vy jste dnes obrátili a učinili jste, co je správné v mých očích, když jste každý vyhlásil svému bližnímu volnost. Smlouvu jste uzavřeli přede mnou v domě, který se nazývá mým jménem.16 Ale pak jste opět obrátili a mé jméno jste znesvětili. Donutili jste k návratu každý svého otroka a otrokyni, které jste propustili na svobodu. Podmanili jste si je opět, aby byli vašimi otroky a otrokyněmi. 17 Proto Hospodin praví toto: Protože jste mě neuposlechli a nevyhlásili každý svobodu svému bratru a bližnímu, hle, vyhlašuji proti vám, je výrok Hospodinův, volnost meči, moru a hladu. Učiním vás obrazem hrůzy pro všechna království země.18 Vydám muže, kteří přestupují mou smlouvu, kteří neplní slova smlouvy, kterou přede mnou uzavřeli. Rozťali býčka na dvě poloviny a prošli mezi jeho díly.19Velmožové judští i velmožové jeruzalémští, dvořané i kněží a všechen lid země prošli mezi díly býčka.20 Vydám je do rukou jejich nepřátel, do rukou těch, kteří jim ukládají o život. Jejich mrtvoly budou za pokrm nebeskému ptactvu a zemskému zvířectvu.21 I Sidkijáše, krále judského, a jeho velmože vydám do rukou jejich nepřátel, do rukou těch, kteří jim ukládají o život, do rukou vojska babylónského krále, které od vás odtáhlo.22 Hle, dám příkaz, je výrok Hospodinův, a přivedu je zpět na toto město. Budou proti němu bojovat, dobudou je a vypálí je. Z judských měst učiním zpustošený kraj, budou bez obyvatele.“
1Slovo, které Jeremiáš dostal od Hospodina, když babylonský král Nabukadnezar s celým svým vojskem a se všemi královstvími a národy, které ovládal, zaútočil na Jeruzalém a na všechna jeho města:2„Tak praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele – Jdi a řekni judskému králi Cidkiášovi: Tak praví Hospodin – Hle, vydávám toto město do rukou babylonského krále a ten je vypálí ohněm.3Ani ty před ním neunikneš, ale budeš jistě chycen a padneš mu do rukou. Spatříš babylonského krále vlastníma očima a bude s tebou mluvit tváří v tvář. Půjdeš do Babylonu!4Slyš ale slovo Hospodinovo, Cidkiáši, králi judský. Hospodin o tobě praví: Nezemřeš mečem;5zemřeš v pokoji. Jako se zažíhal pohřební oheň k poctě tvých předků,[1] dávných králů, kteří byli před tebou, tak zažehnou oheň i tobě a budou tě oplakávat: ‚Ach pane!‘ Takové slovo jsem promluvil, praví Hospodin.“6Prorok Jeremiáš oznámil všechna tato slova judskému králi Cidkiášovi v Jeruzalémě.7Vojsko babylonského krále tenkrát útočilo na Jeruzalém a na všechna zbylá judská města – na Lachiš a Azeku. To byla totiž jediná opevněná města, která v Judsku zbyla.
Vyhlaste svobodu
8Slovo, které Jeremiáš dostal od Hospodina, když král Cidkiáš uzavřel s veškerým lidem v Jeruzalémě smlouvu o propuštění otroků.9Každý měl propustit svého hebrejského otroka i svou hebrejskou otrokyni na svobodu; nikdo už neměl zotročovat svého židovského bratra.10Všichni velmoži i všechen lid, kteří tu smlouvu přijali, souhlasili, že propustí své otroky a otrokyně na svobodu a že je už nebudou zotročovat. Souhlasili s tím a propustili je.11Potom si to ale rozmysleli a své otroky a otrokyně, které předtím propustili na svobodu, přivedli zase zpět a zotročili je.12Jeremiáš tehdy od Hospodina dostal toto slovo:13„Tak praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele. V den, kdy jsem vaše otce vyvedl z Egypta, z domu otroctví, uzavřel jsem s nimi tuto smlouvu:14‚Sedmého roku každý propustíte svého hebrejského bratra, který se ti prodal do otroctví. Odslouží u tebe šest let, ale potom jej propustíš na svobodu.‘[2] Vaši otcové mě ovšem neposlechli, vůbec si toho nevšímali.15Vy jste ale nedávno činili pokání a zachovali jste se, jak je v mých očích správné: Každý jste svému bližnímu vyhlásil svobodu – dokonce jste o tom přede mnou uzavřeli smlouvu v domě, který se nazývá mým jménem.16Potom jste si to ale rozmysleli a znesvětili jste tak mé jméno. Svého otroka i svou otrokyni, které jste propustili na svobodu, jak toužili, jste každý zase přivedl zpět a zotročili jste je.17A proto tak praví Hospodin: Neposlechli jste mě. Nevyhlásili jste svobodu každý svému bratru, svému bližnímu. Hle, já tedy vyhlašuji ‚svobodu‘ vám, praví Hospodin – svobodu pro meč, mor a hlad! Učiním vás odstrašujícím příkladem pro všechna království země.18S těmi, kdo porušili mou smlouvu a nesplnili slova smlouvy, kterou přede mnou uzavřeli, s těmi naložím jako s teletem, které rozťali vedví, aby prošli mezi jeho polovinami.[3]19Judské a jeruzalémské velmože, dvořany, kněze i všechen lid země, který prošel mezi díly telete,20vydám do rukou jejich nepřátel, do rukou těch, kdo pasou po jejich životě. Na jejich mrtvolách se budou pást ptáci a divá zvěř.21Judského krále Cidkiáše i jeho velmože vydám do rukou jejich nepřátel, do rukou těch, kdo pasou po jejich životě – do rukou vojska babylonského krále, které se od vás právě stahuje.[4]22Hle, vydám rozkazy, praví Hospodin, a přivedu je k tomuto městu zpět. Zaútočí na ně, dobudou je a spálí je. Judská města obrátím v trosky, kde nikdo nebydlí.“

So spricht der HERR über dich: Du brauchst nicht durch das Schwert zu sterben.5In Frieden kannst du sterben und wie deinen Vätern, den früheren Königen, die vor dir waren, so wird man auch dir zu Ehren Totenfeuer anzünden und dir die Totenklage halten: Ach, der Herrscher! Ich, ja ich, habe dieses Wort geredet - Spruch des HERRN. (2Pa 16,14; Jr 22,18)6Der Prophet Jeremia redete alle diese Worte zu Zidkija, dem König von Juda, in Jerusalem,7als das Heer des Königs von Babel gegen Jerusalem und die übrig gebliebenen Städte Judas, nämlich Lachisch und Aseka, kämpfte; denn nur diese waren von den Städten Judas als befestigte Städte übrig geblieben.
Gegen den Widerruf der Sklavenfreilassung
8Das Wort, das vom HERRN an Jeremia erging, nachdem König Zidkija mit dem ganzen Volk in Jerusalem einen Bund geschlossen hatte, um für sie eine Freilassung auszurufen.9Es sollte jeder seinen hebräischen Sklaven und seine hebräische Sklavin freilassen, damit keiner mehr einen judäischen Bruder oder eine judäische Schwester versklave.10Dem hatten sich alle Großen gefügt, ebenso das ganze Volk, das in den Bund eingetreten war, dass jeder seinen Sklaven und seine Sklavin freilassen und nicht mehr versklaven werde. Sie hatten gehorcht und die Sklaven freigelassen.11Danach aber wandten sie sich davon ab und holten die Sklaven und Sklavinnen, die sie freigelassen hatten, zurück und machten sie mit Gewalt wieder zu Sklaven und Sklavinnen.12Da erging das Wort vom HERRN an Jeremia:13So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe mit euren Vätern an dem Tag, als ich sie aus dem Land Ägypten, dem Sklavenhaus, herausführte, einen Bund geschlossen:14Am Ende von sieben Jahren soll jeder von euch seinen hebräischen Stammesbruder, der sich ihm verkauft hat, freilassen; sechs Jahre soll er dein Sklave sein, dann sollst du ihn von dir freilassen. Aber eure Väter haben mir nicht gehorcht und ihr Ohr nicht zugeneigt. (Ex 21,2; Lv 25,41; Dt 15,12)15Da seid ihr jetzt umgekehrt und habt das getan, was in meinen Augen recht ist, indem jeder für seinen Nächsten die Freilassung ausrief. Vor mir hattet ihr einen Bund geschlossen in dem Haus, über dem mein Name ausgerufen ist.16Aber ihr habt euch abgewandt und habt meinen Namen entweiht; denn jeder von euch hat seinen Sklaven und seine Sklavin zurückgeholt, die ihr doch völlig freigelassen hattet. Ihr habt sie mit Gewalt dazu gebracht, wieder eure Sklaven und Sklavinnen zu sein.17Darum - so spricht der HERR: Ihr habt mir nicht gehorcht, jeder für seinen Stammesbruder und seinen Nächsten Freilassung auszurufen. - Siehe, ich rufe euch eine Freilassung aus - Spruch des HERRN - für Schwert, Pest und Hunger und ich mache euch zu einem Bild des Schreckens für alle Reiche der Erde.18Ich mache die Männer, die meinen Bund verletzt und die Worte meines Bundes, den sie vor mir geschlossen hatten, nicht gehalten haben, dem Kalb gleich, das sie in zwei Hälften zerschnitten haben und zwischen dessen Stücken sie hindurchgegangen sind.19Die Großen Judas und die Großen Jerusalems, die Höflinge, die Priester und das ganze Volk des Landes, die zwischen den Stücken des Kalbes hindurchgegangen sind,20ich gebe sie in die Hand ihrer Feinde und in die Hand derer, die ihnen nach dem Leben trachten. 1The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,2Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:3And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.4Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:5But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying , Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.6Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,7When the king of Babylon' army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah.8This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;9That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit , of a Jew his brother.10Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.11But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.12Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,13Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,14At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.15And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:16But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.17Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.18And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof,19The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;20I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.21And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon' army, which are gone up from you.22Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.
