1Slovo, kteréž se stalo k Jeremiášovi o suchu.2Kvíliti bude země Judská, a brány její zemdlejí, smutek ponesou na zemi, a naříkání Jeruzaléma vzejde.3Také nejznamenitější z nich rozsílati budou i nejšpatnější své pro vodu. Přijdouce k čisternám, a nenaleznouce vody, navrátí se s nádobami svými prázdnými, hanbíce a stydíce se; protož přikryjí hlavu svou.4I oráči stydíce se, přikryjí hlavu svou příčinou země vyprahlé, proto že deště nebude na zemi.5Anobrž i laň na poli, což porodí, opustí; nebo mladistvé trávy nebude.6A divocí oslové stojíce na vysokých místech, hltati budou vítr jako draci; přehledí se oči jejich, nebo nebude žádné trávy.7Ó Hospodine, poněvadž nepravosti naše svědčí proti nám, slituj se pro jméno své. Nebo mnohá jsou odvrácení naše, toběť jsme zhřešili.8Ó naděje Izraelova, vysvoboditeli jeho v čas ssoužení, proč býti máš jako příchozí v této zemi, a jako pocestný stavující se na noclehu?9Proč se ukazuješ jako muž ustalý, jako silný, kterýž nemůže vysvoboditi? Všaks ty u prostřed nás, Hospodine, a jméno tvé nad námi vzýváno jest; neopouštějž nás.10Takto praví Hospodin o lidu tomto: Tak milují toulky, noh svých nezdržují, až Hospodin nemá v nich líbosti, a nyní zpomíná nepravost jejich, a navštěvuje hříchy jejich.11Potom řekl ke mně Hospodin: Nemodl se za lid tento k dobrému.12Když se postiti budou, já nikoli nevyslyším volání jejich, a když obětovati budou obět zápalnou a suchou, já nikoli neoblíbím sobě těch věcí, ale mečem a hladem a morem já do konce zhubím je.13Tedy řekl jsem: Ach, Panovníče Hospodine, aj, tito proroci říkají jim: Neuzříte meče, a hlad nepřijde na vás, ale pokoj pravý dám vám na místě tomto.14I řekl Hospodin ke mně: Lež prorokují ti proroci ve jménu mém. Neposlalť jsem jich, aniž jsem přikázal jim, anobrž aniž jsem mluvil k nim. Vidění lživé a hádání, a marné věci i lest srdce svého oni prorokují vám.15Protož takto praví Hospodin o prorocích, kteříž prorokují ve jménu mém, ješto jsem já jich neposlal, a kteříž říkají: Meče ani hladu nebude v zemi této: Mečem a hladem i ti sami proroci zhynou.16Lid pak ten, jemuž oni prorokují, rozmetán bude po ulicích Jeruzalémských hladem a mečem, aniž bude, kdo by je pochovával, je, manželky jejich, a syny jejich, a dcery jejich. Tak vyleji na ně nešlechetnost jejich.17Protož rciž jim slovo toto: Z očí mých tekou slzy dnem i nocí bez přestání; nebo potřína bude velmi velice panna dcera lidu mého ranou náramně bolestnou.18Vyjdu-li na pole, aj, tam zbití mečem; pakli vejdu do města, aj, tam nemocní hladem. Nebo jakož prorok tak kněz obcházejíce, kupčí zemí, a lidé toho neznají.19Zdaliž do konce zamítáš Judu? Zdali Sion oškliví sobě duše tvá? Proč nás biješ, tak abychom již nebyli uzdraveni? Čekáme-li pokoje, a aj, nic dobrého pakli času uzdravení, a aj, hrůza.20Poznávámeť, Hospodine, bezbožnost svou i nepravost otců svých, že jsme hřešili proti tobě.21Nezamítejž pro jméno své, nezlehčuj stolice slávy své; rozpomeň se, neruš smlouvy své s námi.22Zdaliž jsou mezi marnostmi pohanskými ti, kteříž by déšť dávali? A zdaliž nebesa dávají přívaly? Zdaliž ty nejsi sám, Hospodine, Bůh náš? Protož na tebeť očekáváme, nebo ty působíš všecko to.

1 O slovu Hospodinově, které se stalo k Jeremjášovi ohledně sucha. 2 Juda truchlí, jeho brány zchátraly a chmurně klesly k zemi. Z Jeruzaléma stoupá žalostný křik. 3 Jejich vznešení posílají svou čeleď pro vodu. Ta chodí k nádržím a vodu nenachází, vrací se s prázdnými nádobami. Stydí se a hanbí a zakrývá si hlavu. 4 Jsou zděšeni nad rolemi, neboť v zemi nenastává doba dešťů. Oráči se stydí, zakrývají si hlavu. 5 I laň v poli opouští, co porodila, neboť není zeleň. 6 Na lysých návrších postávají divocí osli, větří jako šakalové, vypovídá jim zrak, neboť nejsou byliny. 7 „Jestliže mluví proti nám naše nepravosti, jednej, Hospodine, pro své jméno. Mnohokráte jsme se odvrátili, hřešili jsme proti tobě. 8 Naděje Izraele, jeho spasiteli v čase soužení! Proč jsi v zemi jako host, jak pocestný, který se zdrží jen přes noc? 9 Proč jsi jak zdrcený člověk, jak bohatýr, který není s to spasit? Ty jsi, Hospodine, uprostřed nás a nazývají nás tvým jménem. Nezříkej se nás!“ 10 Toto praví Hospodin o tomto lidu: „Milují toulky a své nohy nešetří,“ proto v nich nemá Hospodin zalíbení. Bude nyní připomínat jejich nepravost a trestat jejich hřích. 11 Hospodin mi poručil: „Nemodli se za dobro tohoto lidu.12 Ani když se budou postit, nevyslyším jejich bědování, ani když připraví oběť zápalnou a přídavnou, nenajdu v nich zalíbení. Zcela s nimi skoncuji mečem, hladem a morem.“ 13 Nato jsem řekl: „Ach, Panovníku Hospodine, hle, proroci jim říkají: Nespatříte meč a hlad mít nebudete, nýbrž dám vám na tomto místě pravý pokoj.“ 14 Hospodin mi řekl: „Ti proroci prorokují mým jménem klam. Neposlal jsem je a nepřikázal jsem jim to a nemluvil jsem k nim. Prorokují vám klamné vidění, nicotnou věštbu a lest vlastního srdce.“ 15 Toto praví Hospodin proti těm prorokům, kteří prorokují jeho jménem: „Já jsem je neposlal. To oni říkají: ‚V této zemi nebude meč a hlad.‘ Mečem a hladem vymřou ti proroci do jednoho.16 A lid, jemuž prorokovali, bude ležet po ulicích Jeruzaléma sražen hladem a mečem a nikdo je nepohřbí, ani jejich ženy ani jejich syny a dcery. Tak vyleji na ně jejich zlobu.“ 17 Řekni jim toto slovo: „Z mých očí tekou slzy dnem i nocí bez přestání, neboť těžká rána rozdrtila panenskou dceru mého lidu velikou, bolestnou ranou. 18 Vyjdu-li na pole, hle, skolení mečem, přijdu-li do města, hle, zesláblí hlady; jak prorok, tak kněz procházejí zemí a nevědí si rady.“ 19 „Což jsi opravdu zavrhl Judu? Tvá duše si zprotivila Sijón? Proč nás biješ, což pro nás není uzdravení? S nadějí jsme vyhlíželi pokoj, ale nic dobrého nepřichází, čas uzdravení, a hle, předěšení. 20 Hospodine, uznáváme svou svévoli, i nepravost svých otců, hřešili jsme proti tobě. 21 Neodmítej nás však pro své jméno, nenech zhanobit trůn své slávy. Rozpomeň se a neruš svou smlouvu s námi. 22 Což jsou mezi přeludy pronárodů ti, kdo by mohli dát déšť? Což nebesa vydávají deště? Nejsi to ty sám, Hospodine, náš Bože? Skládáme naději v tebe, neboť ty konáš všechny tyto věci!“
1Slovo Hospodinovo, které Jeremiáš dostal ohledně sucha:2„Juda truchlí, jeho města chátrají. Oplakávají zemi, z Jeruzaléma stoupá křik.3Velmoži své sluhy pro vodu posílají; chodí k nádržím, ale ty jsou bez vody. Vracejí se s prázdnými vědry; zklamáni a zahanbeni skrývají hlavu v dlaních.4Půda je rozpukaná, protože v zemi neprší; rolníci proto samým zklamáním skrývají hlavu v dlaních.5I ta laň opouští v kraji mláďata, protože zeleň zmizela.6Divocí osli stojí na holých návrších a větří jako šakali; napínají zrak, až jim selhává, protože tráva zmizela.“7Naše viny nás, Hospodine, usvědčují, kvůli svému jménu ale zasáhni! Mnohokrát jsme se odvrátili, proti tobě jsme hřešili.8Ach, naděje Izraele, náš Spasiteli v čase soužení! Proč se k této zemi chováš jako cizinec, jako poutník, co se jen na noc zastaví?9Proč se chováš jako zaskočený člověk, jako bojovník, co nedovede zachránit? Jsi přece, Hospodine, vprostřed nás! Tobě patříme! Neopouštěj nás!10Toto praví Hospodin o tomto lidu: „Tak rádi se toulají, nohy si vůbec nešetří! Proto v nich Hospodin nemá zalíbení; nyní si připomene jejich viny a ztrestá jejich hřích.“
Nemodli se za tento lid
11Hospodin mi řekl: „Nemodli se za tento lid, za jeho blahobyt.[1]12Ani když se budou postit, nevyslyším jejich volání. Ani když přinesou zápalné a moučné oběti, nenajdu v nich zalíbení. Mečem, hladem a morem s nimi skoncuji.“13„Ach ne, Hospodine, Pane můj!“ zvolal jsem. „Proroci jim přece říkají: ‚Nezakusíte meč, hlad na vás nepřijde! Na tomto místě vás jistě obdařím pravým pokojem.‘“14„Ti proroci mým jménem prorokují lži,“ řekl mi na to Hospodin. „Já jsem je neposlal, nic jsem jim nesvěřil ani jsem s nimi nemluvil. Prorokují vám lživá vidění, nicotné věštby a vymyšlené podvody.15Nuže, toto praví Hospodin o prorocích, kteří prorokují mým jménem, ačkoli jsem je neposlal, a kteří tvrdí, že na tuto zemi nepřijde meč a hlad: Sami ti proroci zajdou mečem a hladem!16Lid, kterému prorokují, pak bude ležet v ulicích Jeruzaléma poražen hladem a mečem a nikdo je nepohřbí – je ani jejich ženy, jejich syny ani dcery. Tak na ně vyliji jejich neštěstí.“
Nezavrhuj nás!
17„Vyřiď jim tato slova: Dnem i nocí mi z očí kanou slzy, nejdou zastavit. Má panenská dcera je těžce zraněná, bolestná rána můj lid postihla.18Jdu-li do kraje, hle – mečem pobití, vejdu-li do města, hle – vyčerpaní hlady! Proroci i kněží v celé zemi vedou své řemeslo a nic netuší.“19To jsi opravdu Judu zavrhl? Cítíš takový odpor k Sionu? Proč jsi nás tolik bil, že se nemůžeme uzdravit? Vyhlížíme klid, a nic dobrého není; čekáme čas uzdravení, a hle – zděšení![2]20Uznáváme, Hospodine, jak jsme zlí; naši otcové se provinili a i my jsme proti tobě hřešili.21Kvůli svému jménu nás nezavrhuj, nepotupuj svůj slavný trůn! Pamatuj na svou smlouvu s námi, neruš ji!22Umí snad modly národů dávat déšť? Prší snad z nebe samo od sebe? Ne, Hospodine, Bože náš, to ty! V tebe skládáme naději, jsi to ty, kdo vše působí!

Ja, groß ist unsere Abtrünnigkeit; / gegen dich haben wir gesündigt.8Du, Israels Hoffnung, / sein Retter zur Zeit der Not,
warum bist du wie ein Fremder im Land / und wie ein Wanderer, der nur über Nacht einkehrt?9Warum bist du wie ein ratloser Mann, / wie ein Held, der nicht zu retten vermag?
Du bist doch in unsrer Mitte, HERR, / und dein Name ist über uns ausgerufen. / Verlass uns nicht!10So spricht der HERR von diesem Volk: Hin und her zu schweifen, das lieben sie; ihren Füßen gönnen sie keine Ruhe. Doch der HERR hat kein Gefallen an ihnen. Jetzt denkt er an ihre Schuld und sucht ihre Sünden heim.11Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Bete nicht um das Wohlergehen dieses Volkes! (Jr 7,16; Jr 11,14)12Auch wenn sie fasten, höre ich nicht auf ihr Flehen; wenn sie Brandopfer und Speiseopfer darbringen, habe ich kein Gefallen an ihnen. Durch Schwert, Hunger und Pest mache ich ihnen ein Ende.13Da sagte ich: Ach, Herr und GOTT, die Propheten sagen doch zu ihnen: Ihr werdet das Schwert nicht sehen, der Hunger wird nicht über euch kommen, sondern beständiges Heil gewähre ich euch an diesem Ort.14Aber der HERR erwiderte mir: Lüge prophezeien die Propheten in meinem Namen. Ich habe sie weder gesandt noch beauftragt, ich habe nicht zu ihnen gesprochen. Erlogene Visionen, nichtige Wahrsagerei und selbst erdachten Betrug prophezeien sie euch. (Jr 27,14; Jr 29,8)15Darum spreche ich, der HERR, so gegen die Propheten, die in meinem Namen prophezeien, obwohl ich sie nicht gesandt habe, und die behaupten, Schwert und Hunger werde es nicht geben in diesem Land: Durch Schwert und Hunger werden diese Propheten ihr Ende finden.16Die Leute aber, denen sie prophezeien, werden auf den Straßen Jerusalems liegen, hingestreckt durch Hunger und Schwert. Niemand wird sie begraben, weder die Männer noch die Frauen, die Söhne oder die Töchter. So gieße ich ihre eigene Bosheit über sie aus.17Du sollst zu ihnen dieses Wort sagen:
Meine Augen fließen über von Tränen / bei Nacht und bei Tag / und finden keine Ruhe.
Denn einen großen Zusammenbruch / erlitt die Jungfrau, die Tochter, mein Volk, / eine unheilbare Wunde. (Jr 13,17)18Gehe ich aufs Feld hinaus - / siehe: vom Schwert Durchbohrte!
Komme ich in die Stadt - / siehe: vom Hunger Gequälte!
Ja, auch Prophet und Priester / ziehen in ein Land, das sie nicht kennen.19Hast du denn Juda ganz verworfen, / wurde dir Zion zum Abscheu?
Warum hast du uns so geschlagen, / dass es für uns keine Heilung mehr gibt?
Wir hofften auf Heil, / doch kommt nichts Gutes,
auf die Zeit der Heilung, / doch siehe: nur Schrecken! (Jr 8,15)20Wir erkennen, HERR, unser Unrecht, / die Schuld unsrer Väter: / Ja, wir haben gegen dich gesündigt.21Um deines Namens willen verschmäh nicht, / verstoß nicht den Thron deiner Herrlichkeit! / Gedenke! Brich nicht deinen Bund mit uns!22Gibt es etwa Regenspender / unter den Götzen der Völker?
Oder ist es der Himmel, der von selbst regnen lässt? / Bist nicht du es, HERR, unser Gott?

Lying Prophets

I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.
