1Mluvil pak Hospodin k Mojžíšovi a k Aronovi v zemi Egyptské, řka:2Tento měsíc počátek měsíců vám bude; první vám bude mezi měsíci ročními.3Mluvte ke všemu shromáždění Izraelskému, řkouce: Desátého dne měsíce tohoto vezmete sobě jeden každý beránka po čeledech, beránka na každý dům.4Byl-li by pak dům tak malý, že by s beránka býti nemohl, přivezme souseda svého, kterýž jest blízký domu jeho, podlé počtu duší; jeden každý počte tolik osob, kolikž by jich snísti mohlo beránka.5Beránka bez vady, samce ročního míti budete, kteréhož z ovcí aneb z koz vezmete.6A chovati ho budete až do čtrnáctého dne měsíce tohoto; a zabije ho všecko množství shromáždění Izraelského k večerou.7A vezmouce krve, pomaží obou veřejí a nade dveřmi u domů, v nichž jej jísti budou.8I budou jísti noci té maso pečené ohněm, s chleby přesnými; s bylinami hořkými jísti jej budou.9Nebudete jísti z něho nic surového ani v vodě vařeného, ale pečené ohněm, s hlavou jeho i s nohami a droby.10Nezanecháte z něho ničehož do jitra; pakli by co pozůstalo z něho až do jitra, ohněm spálíte.11Takto jej pak jísti budete: Bedra svá přepásaná míti budete, obuv svou na nohách svých a hůl svou v ruce své, a jísti budete s chvátáním; nebo Jití jest Hospodinovo.12V tu noc zajisté půjdu po zemi Egyptské, a budu bíti všecko prvorozené v zemi Egyptské, od člověka až do hovada, a nade všemi bohy Egyptskými učiním soud: Já Hospodin.13Krev pak ta na domích, v nichž budete, budeť vám na znamení; a když uzřím krev, pominu vás, a nebude mezi vámi rána zahubující, když bíti budu prvorozené v zemi Egyptské.14A budeť vám den ten na památku, a slaviti jej budete slavný Hospodinu po rodech svých; právem věčným slaviti jej budete.15Za sedm dní přesné chleby jísti budete, a hned prvního dne vyprázdníte kvas z domů vašich; nebo kdožkoli jedl by co kvašeného od prvního až do sedmého dne, vyhlazena bude duše ta z Izraele.16A v den první budeť shromáždění svaté; dne také sedmého shromáždění svaté míti budete. Žádného díla nebude děláno v nich; toliko čehož se užívá k jídlu od každého, to samo připraveno bude od vás.17A ostříhati budete přesnic, nebo v ten den vyvedl jsem vojska vaše z země Egyptské; protož zachovávati budete den ten po rodech svých právem věčným.18Prvního měsíce, čtrnáctého dne téhož měsíce, u večer jísti budete chleby přesné, až do dne jedenmecítmého téhož měsíce k večerou.19Za sedm dní nebude nalezeno kvasu v domích vašich; nebo kdo by koli jedl něco kvašeného, vyhlazena bude duše ta z shromáždění Izraelského, tak příchozí jako zrozený v zemi.20Nic kvašeného jísti nebudete, ale ve všech příbytcích vašich jísti budete chleby přesné.21Tedy svolal Mojžíš všecky starší Izraelské, a řekl jim: Vybeřte a vezměte sobě beránka po čeledech svých, a zabíte Fáze.22Vezmete také svazček yzopu, a omočíte v krvi, kteráž bude v medenici, a pomažete nade dveřmi a na obou veřejích tou krví, kteráž bude v nádobě; z vás pak žádný nevycházej ze dveří domu svého až do jitra.23Neboť půjde Hospodin, aby bil Egypt, a kde uzří krev nade dveřmi a na obou veřejích, přeskočí Hospodin ty dvéře, aniž dopustí zhoubci vjíti do domů vašich k hubení.24Protož ostříhati budete věci této za ustanovení tobě i synům tvým až na věky.25A když vejdete do země, kterouž dá Hospodin vám, jakž zaslíbil, zachovávati budete službu tuto.26Když by pak řekli vám synové vaši: Jaká jest to služba vaše?27Tedy díte: Obět Fáze toto jest Hospodinu, kterýž pominul domů synů Izraelských v Egyptě, když bil Egypt, domy pak naše vysvobodil. A lid sklonivše hlavy, poklonu učinili.28A rozšedše se synové Izraelští, učinili, jakž byl Hospodin přikázal Mojžíšovi a Aronovi; tak a nejinak učinili.29Stalo se pak o půlnoci, pobil Hospodin všecko prvorozené v zemi Egyptské, od prvorozeného Faraonova, kterýž seděti měl na stolici jeho, až do prvorozeného vězně, kterýž byl v žaláři, i všecko prvorozené hovad.30Tedy vstal Farao noci té, a všickni služebníci jeho i všickni Egyptští, a vzešel křik veliký v Egyptě; nebo žádného nebylo domu, v němž by nebylo něčeho mrtvého.31A povolav Mojžíše a Arona v noci, řekl: Vstaňte, vyjděte z prostředku lidu mého, i vy i synové Izraelští, a odejdouce, služte Hospodinu, jakž jste mluvili.32Ovce také vaše i voly vaše vezměte, jakž jste žádali, a jděte; a dejte mi také požehnání.33I nutkali Egyptští lid, aby co nejrychleji vyšli z země; nebo pravili: Všickni již teď zemřeme.34Protož vzal lid těsto své, prvé než zkysalo, obaliv je v šaty své, na ramena svá.35Učinili pak synové Izraelští podlé rozkazu Mojžíšova; nebo vyžádali byli od Egyptských klínotů stříbrných a zlatých, i šatů.36A Hospodin dal milost lidu před očima Egyptských, tak že půjčovali jim. I obloupili Egyptské.37Tedy táhli synové Izraelští z Ramesses k Sochot, okolo šestkrát sto tisíc pěších, mužů toliko kromě dětí.38Ano také jiného lidu mnoho vyšlo s nimi, ovec také a volů, dobytka velmi mnoho.39I napekli z těsta, kteréž vynesli z Egypta, koláčů nekvašených; nebo ještě bylo nezkynulo, proto že vypuzeni byli z Egypta, a nemohli prodlévati, a ani pokrmů na cestu nepřipravili sobě.40Čas pak bydlení synů Izraelských, kteříž byli v Egyptě, byl čtyři sta a třidceti let.41A když se vyplnilo čtyři sta a třidceti let, právě toho dne vyšla všecka vojska Hospodinova z země Egyptské.42Noc tato pilně ostříhána býti má Hospodinu, v níž vyvedl je z země Egyptské; tať tedy noc Hospodinova ostříhána bude ode všech synů Izraelských po národech jejich.43I řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi a Aronovi: Tentoť bude řád při slavnosti Fáze: Žádný cizozemec nebude jísti z něho.44Každý pak služebník váš za stříbro koupený, když by obřezán byl, teprv jísti bude z něho.45Příchozí a nájemník nebude jísti z něho.46V témž domě jísti jej budeš, nevyneseš z domu ven masa jeho; a kostí v něm nezlámete.47Všecko shromáždění Izraelské tak s ním učiní.48Jestliže by pak cizozemec bydlil s tebou pohostinu, a slaviti by chtěl Fáze Hospodinu, prvé obřezán bude každý pohlaví mužského; a tehdy přistoupí k slavení jeho, a bude jako tu v zemi zrozený; žádný pak neobřezaný nebude jísti z něho.49Jednostejné právo bude tu zrodilému a příchozímu, kterýž jest pohostinu u prostřed vás.50Tedy učinili všickni synové Izraelští, jakž přikázal Hospodin Mojžíšovi a Aronovi; tak učinili.51A tak stalo se právě toho dne, že vyvedl Hospodin syny Izraelské z země Egyptské s vojsky jejich.
VELIKONOCE A VYJITÍ Z EGYPTA - — Nařízení hodu beránka - Hospodin přikazuje, aby se lid připravil na slavení velikonoc. Mojžíš to oznamuje izraelským starším.
1 Hospodin řekl Mojžíšovi a Áronovi v egyptské zemi:2 „Tento měsíc bude pro vás začátkem měsíců. Bude pro vás prvním měsícem v roce.3 Vyhlaste celé izraelské pospolitosti: Desátého dne tohoto měsíce si každý vezmete beránka podle svých rodů, beránka na rodinu.4 Kdyby byla rodina malá a na beránka by nestačila, přibere si každý souseda, který bydlí nejblíže jeho rodiny, aby doplnil počet osob. Podle toho, kolik kdo sní, stanovíte počet na beránka.5 Budete mít beránka bez vady, ročního samce. Vezmete jej z ovcí nebo z koz.6 Budete jej opatrovat až do čtrnáctého dne tohoto měsíce. Navečer bude celé shromáždění izraelské pospolitosti beránky zabíjet.7 Pak vezmou trochu krve a potřou jí obě veřeje i nadpraží u domů, v nichž jej budou jíst.8 Tu noc budou jíst maso upečené na ohni a k němu budou jíst nekvašené chleby s hořkými bylinami.9 Nebudete z něho jíst nic syrového ani vařeného ve vodě, nýbrž jen upečené na ohni s hlavou i s nohama a vnitřnostmi.10 Nic z něho nenecháte do rána. Co z něho zůstane do rána, spálíte ohněm.11 Budete jej jíst takto: Budete mít přepásaná bedra, opánky na nohou a hůl v ruce. Sníte jej ve chvatu. To bude Hospodinův hod beránka.12 Tu noc projdu egyptskou zemí a všecko prvorozené v egyptské zemi pobiji, od lidí až po dobytek. Všechna egyptská božstva postihnu svými soudy. Já jsem Hospodin.13 Na domech, v nichž budete, budete mít na znamení krev. Když tu krev uvidím, pominu vás a nedolehne na vás zhoubný úder, až budu bít egyptskou zemi.14 Ten den vám bude dnem pamětním, budete jej slavit jako slavnost Hospodinovu. Budete jej slavit po všechna svá pokolení. To je provždy platné nařízení.15 Po sedm dní budete jíst nekvašené chleby. Hned prvního dne odstraníte ze svých domů kvas. Každý, kdo by od prvního do sedmého dne jedl něco kvašeného, bude z Izraele vyobcován.16 Prvního dne budete mít bohoslužebné shromáždění. I sedmého dne budete mít bohoslužebné shromáždění. V těch dnech se nebude konat žádné dílo. Smíte si připravit jen to, co každý potřebuje k jídlu.17 Budete dbát na ustanovení o nekvašených chlebech, neboť právě toho dne jsem vyvedl vaše oddíly z egyptské země. Na tento den budete bedlivě dbát. To je provždy platné nařízení pro všechna vaše pokolení.18 Od večera čtrnáctého dne prvního měsíce budete jíst nekvašené chleby až do večera jedenadvacátého dne téhož měsíce.19 Po sedm dní se nenajde ve vašich domech kvas. Každý, kdo by jedl něco kvašeného, bude vyobcován z pospolitosti Izraele, i host a domorodec.20 Nebudete jíst nic kvašeného. Ve všech svých obydlích budete jíst nekvašené chleby.“ 21 Mojžíš svolal všechny izraelské starší a řekl jim: „Jděte si vzít kus z bravu podle vašich čeledí a zabijte velikonočního beránka.22 Potom vezměte svazek yzopu, namočte jej v misce s krví a krví z misky potřete nadpraží a obě veřeje. Ať nikdo z vás až do rána nevychází ze dveří svého domu.23 Až Hospodin bude procházet zemí, aby udeřil na Egypt, uvidí krev na nadpraží a na obou veřejích. To je provždy platné nařízení pro tebe i pro tvé syny.25 Až přijdete do země, kterou vám Hospodin dá, jak přislíbil, dbejte na tuto službu.26 Až se vás pak vaši synové budou ptát, co pro vás tato služba znamená,27 odpovíte: ‚Je to velikonoční obětní hod Hospodinův. On v Egyptě pominul domy synů Izraele. Když udeřil na Egypt, naše domy vysvobodil.‘“ Lid padl na kolena a klaněl se.28 Izraelci pak odešli a učinili přesně tak, jak Hospodin Mojžíšovi a Áronovi přikázal.
— Poslední egyptská rána a odchod Izraelců - Všechno prvorozené v Egyptě pomře. Izraelci jsou propuštěni.
29 Když nastala půlnoc, pobil Hospodin v egyptské zemi všechno prvorozené, od prvorozeného syna faraónova, který seděl na jeho trůnu, až po prvorozeného syna zajatce v žalářní kobce, i všechno prvorozené z dobytka.30 Tu farao v noci vstal, i všichni jeho služebníci a všichni Egypťané, a v celém Egyptě nastal veliký křik, protože nebylo domu, kde by nebyl mrtvý.31 Ještě v noci povolal Mojžíše a Árona a řekl: „Seberte se a odejděte z mého lidu, vy i Izraelci. Jděte, služte Hospodinu, jak jste žádali.32 Vezměte také svůj brav i skot, jak jste žádali, a jděte. Vyproste požehnání i pro mne.“33 Egypťané naléhali na lid a spěchali s jeho propuštěním ze země, protože si říkali: „Všichni pomřeme!“34 Lid tedy vzal těsto ještě nevykynuté, zabalil díže do plášťů a nesl na ramenou.35 Izraelci jednali podle Mojžíšova rozkazu; vyžádali si též od Egypťanů stříbrné a zlaté šperky a pláště.36 A Hospodin zjednal lidu přízeň v očích Egypťanů a oni jim vyhověli. Tak vyplenili Egypt. 37 Izraelci vytáhli z Ramesesu do Sukótu, kolem šesti set tisíc pěších mužů kromě dětí.38 Vyšlo s nimi také mnoho přimíšeného lidu a obrovská stáda bravu a skotu.39 Z těsta, které vynesli z Egypta, napekli nekvašené podpopelné chleby, protože ještě nevykynulo. Byli totiž z Egypta vyhnáni a nemohli otálet. Ani potravu na cestu si nestačili připravit.40 Doba pobytu, kterou Izraelci v Egyptě strávili, byla čtyři sta třicet let.41 Když uplynulo čtyři sta třicet let, přesně na den vyšly všechny Hospodinovy zástupy z egyptské země.42 Byla to noc jejich bdění pro Hospodina, když je vyváděl z egyptské země. Tato noc je všem synům Izraele po všechna pokolení nocí bdění pro Hospodina.

43 Hospodin řekl Mojžíšovi a Áronovi: „Toto je nařízení o hodu beránka: Nebude z něho jíst žádný cizinec.44 Ale bude jej jíst každý služebník koupený za stříbro, bude-li obřezán.45 Přistěhovalec ani nádeník jej jíst nebude.46 Musí být sněden v témž domě. Z jeho masa nevyneseš nic z domu; žádnou jeho kost nezlámete.47 Tak to bude dělat celá izraelská pospolitost.48 Jestliže by u tebe pobýval host a chtěl by připravit Hospodinu hod beránka, nechť je u něho obřezán každý mužského pohlaví a potom bude smět přistoupit a tak učinit a bude jako domorodec v zemi. Ale žádný neobřezanec jej jíst nebude.49 Stejný řád bude platit pro domorodce i pro hosta, který bude pobývat mezi vámi.“50 Všichni Izraelci učinili přesně tak, jak Hospodin Mojžíšovi a Áronovi přikázal.51 Právě v ten den vyvedl Hospodin Izraelce seřazené po oddílech z egyptské země.

Pokud z něj do rána něco zbude, spálíte to v ohni.11A takto ho budete jíst: budete mít přepásaná bedra, na nohou obuv a v ruce hůl. Jezte ho chvatně, je totiž Pesach – Minutí Hospodinovo.12V tuto noc projdu egyptskou zemí a pobiji všechny prvorozené v Egyptě – jak lidi, tak dobytek. Tehdy vykonám soud nad všemi egyptskými bohy: Já jsem Hospodin.13Tu krev budete mít na svých domech jako znamení. Až udeřím na egyptskou zem, spatřím tu krev a ušetřím vás. Tak se vám ta zhoubná rána vyhne.14Tento den pro vás bude památný. Budete jej slavit jako Hospodinovu slavnost, budete jej slavit ve všech svých pokoleních – to je věčné ustanovení.15Po sedm dní budete jíst nekvašené chleby; hned první den odstraníte ze svých domů kvas. Kdokoli by mezi prvním a sedmým dnem jedl něco kvašeného, bude vyobcován z Izraele.16Prvního a stejně tak sedmého dne budete mít svaté shromáždění. V těch dnech se nesmí dělat žádná práce; smíte pouze připravit, co každý potřebuje k jídlu.17Budete zachovávat svátek nekvašených chlebů, neboť právě toho dne jsem vyvedl vaše zástupy z Egypta. Tento den budete zachovávat ve všech svých pokoleních – to je věčné ustanovení.18Od večera čtrnáctého dne prvního měsíce až do večera jedenadvacátého dne téhož měsíce budete jíst nekvašené chleby.19Po sedm dní se ve vašich domech nenajde kvas. Kdokoli by jedl něco kvašeného, bude vyloučen z izraelské obce, ať to bude host anebo domácí.20Nebudete jíst nic kvašeného; ve všech svých příbytcích budete jíst nekvašené chleby.“21Mojžíš tedy svolal všechny stařešiny Izraele a řekl jim: „Jděte, vezměte si ze stáda kus pro své rodiny a zabijte jej pro Hod beránka.22Pak vezměte svazek yzopu, namočte jej do misky s krví a tou krví potřete nadpraží i obě veřeje. Nikdo z vás nesmí až do rána vyjít ze dveří svého domu,23neboť Hospodin půjde bít Egypt. Když spatří nade dveřmi a na obou veřejích krev, mine Hospodin ty dveře a nedovolí zhoubci vejít do vašich domů a ranit vás.24Toto slovo dodržujte, neboť je to věčné ustanovení pro tebe i pro tvé syny.25Až přijdete do země, kterou vám Hospodin dá, jak zaslíbil, zachovávejte tento obřad.26Až se vás vaši synové zeptají: ‚Co pro vás tento obřad znamená?‘27odpovíte: ‚Pesach je oběť beránka Hospodinu, který v Egyptě ušetřil domy Izraelitů. Udeřil na Egypt, ale naše rodiny zachránil.‘“ Tehdy lid padl na kolena a klaněl se.28Synové Izraele šli a zachovali se přesně tak, jak Hospodin přikázal Mojžíšovi.
Veliká noc
29O půlnoci pak Hospodin v egyptské zemi pobil všechny prvorozené – od prvorozeného syna faraonova, jenž měl sedět na jeho trůnu, až po prvorozeného syna vězně v žaláři, dokonce i všechno prvorozené z dobytka.30Té noci byl farao vzhůru, tak jako všichni jeho dvořané a všichni Egypťané. V Egyptě propukl hrozný nářek, neboť nebylo domu, kde by nebyl mrtvý.31Té noci si dal zavolat Mojžíše a Árona. „Seberte se a jděte pryč od mého lidu – vy i ti vaši Izraelité!“ řekl jim. „Jděte a služte Hospodinu, jak jste žádali!32Vezměte si svůj brav i skot, jak jste žádali, jen už jděte! A požehnejte i mně.“33Egypťané pak lid pobízeli, aby urychlili jeho odchod ze země, neboť si říkali: „Všichni pomřeme!“34Lid tedy vzal těsto, ještě než vykynulo, díže zabalil do šatů a nesl je na ramenou.35Synové Izraele se zachovali podle Mojžíšova slova a požádali Egypťany o stříbrné a zlaté šperky i o šaty.36Hospodin naklonil Egypťany k lidu tak příznivě, že jim vyhověli. Dočista Egypt obrali!37Synové Izraele pak vytáhli z Ramesesu do Sukotu – jen pěších mužů bylo asi 600 000, kromě žen a dětí.38Vyšlo s nimi také množství přimíšeného lidu a obrovské stádo bravu i skotu.39Z těsta, které vynesli z Egypta, pak napekli nekvašené chlebové placky, protože ještě nevykynulo. Byli totiž z Egypta vyhnáni a nemohli se zdržovat, takže si ani nepřipravili jídlo na cestu.40Pobyt synů Izraele v Egyptě trval 430 let.[1]41Právě toho dne, kdy uplynulo 430 let, vyšly všechny Hospodinovy zástupy z Egypta.42To je ta noc, kdy Hospodin držel stráž, aby je vyvedl z Egypta. To je ta noc, jež patří Hospodinu, noc, kdy všichni synové Izraele ve svých pokoleních budou držet stráž.43Hospodin Mojžíšovi a Áronovi řekl: „Toto jsou ustanovení o Hodu beránka: Nesmí ho jíst žádný cizinec.44Každý otrok koupený za peníze ho smí jíst, bude-li obřezán.45Nesmí ho jíst přistěhovalec ani nádeník.46Musí být sněden v jednom domě – nic z jeho masa nevyneseš z domu ven. Nezlámete v něm jedinou kost.47Tak to bude činit celá izraelská obec.48Kdyby chtěl Hospodinův Hod beránka slavit přistěhovalec žijící u tebe, ať je u něj obřezán každý mužského pohlaví. Potom může přistoupit, aby jej slavil, a bude brán jako domácí. Žádný neobřezanec ho však jíst nesmí.49Pro domácího i hosta žijícího u vás bude platit stejný zákon.“50A všichni synové Izraele se zachovali přesně tak, jak Hospodin přikázal Mojžíšovi a Áronovi.51Právě toho dne vyvedl Hospodin syny Izraele z egyptské země houf za houfem.

Bei der Aufteilung des Lammes müsst ihr berücksichtigen, wie viel der Einzelne essen kann.5Nur ein fehlerfreies, männliches, einjähriges Lamm darf es sein, das Junge eines Schafes oder einer Ziege müsst ihr nehmen.6Ihr sollt es bis zum vierzehnten Tag dieses Monats aufbewahren. In der Abenddämmerung soll die ganze versammelte Gemeinde Israel es schlachten.7Man nehme etwas von dem Blut und bestreiche damit die beiden Türpfosten und den Türsturz an den Häusern, in denen man es essen will.8Noch in der gleichen Nacht soll man das Fleisch essen. Über dem Feuer gebraten und zusammen mit ungesäuertem Brot und Bitterkräutern soll man es essen.9Nichts davon dürft ihr roh oder in Wasser gekocht essen, sondern es muss über dem Feuer gebraten sein: Kopf, Schenkel und Eingeweide.10Ihr dürft nichts bis zum Morgen übrig lassen. Wenn aber am Morgen noch etwas übrig ist, dann verbrennt es im Feuer!11So aber sollt ihr es essen: eure Hüften gegürtet, Schuhe an euren Füßen und euren Stab in eurer Hand. Esst es hastig! Es ist ein Pessach für den HERRN.12In dieser Nacht gehe ich durch das Land Ägypten und erschlage im Land Ägypten jede Erstgeburt bei Mensch und Vieh. Über alle Götter Ägyptens halte ich Gericht, ich, der HERR.13Das Blut an den Häusern, in denen ihr wohnt, soll für euch ein Zeichen sein. Wenn ich das Blut sehe, werde ich an euch vorübergehen und das vernichtende Unheil wird euch nicht treffen, wenn ich das Land Ägypten schlage.14Diesen Tag sollt ihr als Gedenktag begehen. Feiert ihn als Fest für den HERRN! Für eure kommenden Generationen wird es eine ewige Satzung sein, das Fest zu feiern!15Sieben Tage lang sollt ihr ungesäuertes Brot essen. Gleich am ersten Tag schafft den Sauerteig aus euren Häusern! Denn jeder, der zwischen dem ersten und dem siebten Tag Gesäuertes isst, soll aus Israel ausgemerzt werden. (Ex 23,15)16Am ersten Tag sollt ihr eine heilige Versammlung einberufen und ebenso eine heilige Versammlung am siebten Tag. An diesen beiden Tagen darf man keinerlei Arbeit tun. Nur das, was jeder zum Essen braucht, dürft ihr zubereiten.17Haltet das Fest der Ungesäuerten Brote! Denn gerade an diesem Tag habe ich eure Heerscharen aus dem Land Ägypten herausgeführt. Haltet diesen Tag in allen kommenden Generationen! Es ist eine ewige Satzung.18Im ersten Monat, vom Abend des vierzehnten Tags bis zum Abend des einundzwanzigsten Tags, esst ungesäuerte Brote!19Sieben Tage lang darf sich in euren Häusern kein Sauerteig befinden; denn jeder, der Gesäuertes isst, sei er fremd oder einheimisch, soll aus der Gemeinde Israel ausgemerzt werden.20Esst also nichts Gesäuertes! Überall, wo ihr wohnt, sollt ihr ungesäuerte Brote essen.21Da rief Mose alle Ältesten Israels zusammen und sagte zu ihnen: Holt Schafe oder Ziegen für eure Sippenverbände herbei und schlachtet das Pessach!22Dann nehmt einen Ysopzweig, taucht ihn in die Schüssel mit Blut und streicht etwas von dem Blut in der Schüssel auf den Türsturz und auf die beiden Türpfosten! Bis zum Morgen darf niemand von euch das Haus verlassen.23Der HERR geht umher, um die Ägypter mit Unheil zu schlagen. Wenn er das Blut am Türsturz und an den beiden Türpfosten sieht, wird er an der Tür vorübergehen und dem Vernichter nicht erlauben, in eure Häuser einzudringen und euch zu schlagen.24Bewahrt dies! Es gelte dir und deinen Nachkommen als Gesetz für die Ewigkeit.25Wenn ihr in das Land kommt, das euch der HERR gibt, wie er gesagt hat, so bewahrt diesen Dienst!26Und wenn euch eure Söhne fragen: Was bedeutet dieser Dienst für euch?,27dann sagt: Es ist das Pessach-Opfer für den HERRN, der in Ägypten an den Häusern der Israeliten vorüberging, als er die Ägypter mit Unheil schlug, unsere Häuser aber verschonte. Das Volk verneigte sich und warf sich nieder.28Dann gingen die Israeliten und taten, was der HERR Mose und Aaron befohlen hatte. So machten sie es.29Es war Mitternacht, als der HERR alle Erstgeburt im Land Ägypten erschlug, vom Erstgeborenen des Pharao, der auf dem Thron saß, bis zum Erstgeborenen des Gefangenen im Kerker und alle Erstgeburt beim Vieh.30Da standen der Pharao, alle seine Diener und alle Ägypter noch in der Nacht auf und großes Wehgeschrei erhob sich bei den Ägyptern; denn es gab kein Haus, in dem nicht ein Toter war.31Der Pharao ließ Mose und Aaron noch in der Nacht rufen und sagte: Auf, zieht fort aus der Mitte meines Volkes, ihr und auch die Israeliten! Geht und dient dem HERRN, wie ihr gesagt habt!32Auch eure Schafe, Ziegen und Rinder nehmt mit, wie ihr gesagt habt. Geht und segnet auch mich!33Die Ägypter drängten das Volk, eiligst das Land zu verlassen, denn sie sagten: Sonst kommen wir noch alle um.34Das Volk nahm den Brotteig ungesäuert mit; sie wickelten ihre Backschüsseln in Kleider ein und luden sie sich auf die Schultern.35Die Israeliten taten, was Mose gesagt hatte. Sie erbaten von den Ägyptern Geräte aus Silber und Gold und auch Gewänder.36Der HERR ließ das Volk bei den Ägyptern Gunst finden, sodass sie auf ihre Bitte eingingen. Auf diese Weise plünderten sie die Ägypter aus.37Die Israeliten brachen von Ramses nach Sukkot auf. Es waren an die sechshunderttausend Mann zu Fuß, nicht gerechnet die Kinder. (Nu 33,3)38Auch ein großer Haufen anderer Leute zog mit, dazu Schafe, Ziegen und Rinder, eine sehr große Menge Vieh.39Aus dem Teig, den sie aus Ägypten mitgebracht hatten, backten sie ungesäuerte Brotfladen; denn der Teig war nicht durchsäuert, weil sie aus Ägypten verjagt worden waren und nicht einmal Zeit hatten, für Reiseverpflegung zu sorgen.40Der Aufenthalt der Israeliten in Ägypten dauerte vierhundertdreißig Jahre. (Gn 15,13)41Nach Ablauf der vierhundertdreißig Jahre, genau an jenem Tag, zogen alle Scharen des HERRN aus dem Land Ägypten fort.42Eine Nacht des Wachens war es für den HERRN, als er sie aus dem Land Ägypten herausführte. Als eine Nacht des Wachens für den HERRN gilt sie den Israeliten in allen Generationen.
Pessach, ungesäuerte Brote und Auslösung der Erstgeburt
43Der HERR sprach zu Mose und Aaron: Dies ist die Satzung für das Pessach: Kein Fremder darf davon essen;44aber jeder Sklave, den du für Geld gekauft und beschnitten hast, darf davon essen.45Beisassen und Lohnarbeiter dürfen nicht davon essen.46In einem Haus muss man es essen. Trag nichts vom Fleisch aus dem Haus! Und ihr sollt keinen seiner Knochen zerbrechen.47Die ganze Gemeinde Israel soll es so halten.48Lebt bei dir jemand als Fremder, der das Pessach für den HERRN feiern will, so muss er alle männlichen Angehörigen beschneiden lassen; dann darf er sich am Pessach beteiligen. Er gilt dann wie ein Einheimischer. Doch kein Unbeschnittener darf davon essen.49Für Einheimische und für Fremde, die bei euch leben, gilt die gleiche Weisung.50Alle Israeliten taten, was der HERR Mose und Aaron aufgetragen hatte. So machten sie es.51Genau an jenem Tag führte der HERR die Israeliten aus dem Land Ägypten, ihre Scharen unter seinem Befehl.
1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,2“This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. (Ex 13,4; Ex 23,15; Ex 34,18; Dt 16,1)3Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household. (Ex 12,21)4And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn
29At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. (Ex 4,23; Ex 11,4; Ex 11,5; Nu 8,17; Nu 33,4; Ž 78,51; Ž 105,36; Ž 135,8; Ž 136,10)30And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians. And there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where someone was not dead. (Ex 11,6; Am 5,16)31Then he summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Up, go out from among my people, both you and the people of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as you have said. (Ex 10,9)32Take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also!” (Ex 10,24)
The Exodus
33The Egyptians were urgent with the people to send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” (Ex 6,1; Ex 11,1; Ex 11,8; Ž 105,38)34So the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading bowls being bound up in their cloaks on their shoulders.35The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry and for clothing. (Ex 3,22; Ex 11,2)36And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. (Gn 15,14; Ex 3,21; Ex 11,3; Ž 105,37)37And the people of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children. (Gn 47,11; Ex 1,11; Ex 38,26; Nu 1,46; Nu 2,32; Nu 11,21; Nu 26,51; Nu 33,3; Nu 33,5)38A mixed multitude also went up with them, and very much livestock, both flocks and herds. (Lv 24,10; Nu 11,4; Neh 13,3)39And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt, for it was not leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves. (Ex 12,33; Dt 16,3)40The time that the people of Israel lived in Egypt was 430 years.41At the end of 430 years, on that very day, all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. (Gn 15,13; Sk 7,6; Ga 3,17)42It was a night of watching by the Lord, to bring them out of the land of Egypt; so this same night is a night of watching kept to the Lord by all the people of Israel throughout their generations. Institution of the Passover
43And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner shall eat of it,44but every slave[2] that is bought for money may eat of it after you have circumcised him. (Gn 17,12)45No foreigner or hired worker may eat of it. (Lv 22,10)46It shall be eaten in one house; you shall not take any of the flesh outside the house, and you shall not break any of its bones. (Nu 9,12; J 19,36)47All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. (Ex 12,6)48If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
