1 Ten, kdož v skrýši Nejvyššího přebývá, v stínu Všemohoucího odpočívati bude. 2 Dím Hospodinu: Útočiště mé a hrad můj, Bůh můj, v němž naději skládati budu. 3 Onť zajisté vysvobodí tě z osídla lovce, a od nejjedovatějšího nakažení morního. 4 Brky svými přikryje tě, a pod křídly jeho bezpečen budeš; místo štítu a pavézy budeš míti pravdu jeho. 5 Nebudeš se báti přístrachu nočního, ani střely létající ve dne. 6 Ani nakažení morního, vlekoucího se v mrákotě, ani povětří morního, v polední čas hubícího. 7 Padne jich po boku tvém tisíc, a deset tisíců po pravici tvé, ale k tobě se to nepřiblíží. 8 Očima toliko svýma to spatříš, a odplatě bezbožných se podíváš. 9 Poněvadž jsi Hospodina, kterýž útočiště mé jest, a Nejvyššího za svůj příbytek položil, 10 Nepřihodí se tobě nic zlého, aniž se přiblíží jaká rána k stánku tvému. 11 Nebo andělům svým přikázal o tobě, aby tě ostříhali na všech cestách tvých. 12 Na rukou ponesou tě, abys neurazil o kámen nohy své. 13 Po lvu a bazališku choditi budeš, a pošlapáš lvíče i draka. 14 Poněvadž mne, dí Bůh, zamiloval, vysvobodím jej, a vyvýším; nebo poznal jméno mé. 15 Vzývati mne bude, a vyslyším jej; já s ním budu v ssoužení, vytrhnu a oslavím jej. 16 Dlouhostí dnů jej nasytím, a ukáži jemu spasení své.

1 Kdo v úkrytu Nejvyššího bydlí, přečká noc ve stínu Všemocného. 2 Říkám o Hospodinu: „Mé útočiště, má pevná tvrz je můj Bůh, v nějž doufám.“ 3 Vysvobodí tě z osidla lovce, ze zhoubného moru. 4 Přikryje tě svými perutěmi, pod jeho křídly máš útočiště; pavézou a krytem je ti jeho věrnost. 5 Nelekej se hrůzy noci ani šípu, který létá ve dne, 6 moru, jenž se plíží temnotami, nákazy, jež šíří zhoubu za poledne. 7 Byť jich po tvém boku padlo tisíc, byť i deset tisíc tobě po pravici, tebe nestihne nic takového. 8 Na vlastní oči to spatříš, uzříš odplatu, jež stihne svévolníky. 9 Máš-li útočiště v Hospodinu, u Nejvyššího svůj domov, 10 nestane se ti nic zlého, pohroma se k tvému stanu nepřiblíží. 11 On svým andělům vydal o tobě příkaz, aby tě chránili na všech tvých cestách. 12 Na rukou tě budou nosit, aby sis o kámen nohu neporanil; 13 po lvu a po zmiji šlapat budeš, pošlapeš lvíče i draka. 14 Dám mu vyváznout, neboť je mi oddán, budu jeho hradem, on zná moje jméno. 15 Až mě bude volat, odpovím mu, v soužení s ním budu, ubráním ho, obdařím ho slávou, 16 dlouhých let dopřeji mu do sytosti, ukáži mu svoji spásu.

1 Ve skrýši Nejvyššího kdo přebývá, ve stínu Všemohoucího bude spočívat. 2 Hospodinu řeknu: „Jsi mé útočiště, můj hrad, můj Bůh, na něhož spoléhám!“ 3 Jistě tě vysvobodí z lovcovy pasti, z morové rány nejprudší. 4 Přikryje tě svými perutěmi, pod jeho křídly najdeš bezpečí, štít jeho věrnosti tě obklopí! 5 Nezalekneš se noční hrůzy ani střel, jež ve dne létají, 6 morové nákazy, jež tmou se plíží, ani zhoubné rány v čase poledním. 7 Po tvém boku jich padne tisíc a deset tisíců po tvé pravici, tebe to ale nechá být. 8 Pouze to spatříš na vlastní oči, uvidíš odplatu ničemných! 9 Když Hospodinu řekneš: „Jsi mé útočiště,“ Nejvyššího když zvolíš za svůj příbytek, 10 žádné neštěstí se ti nepřihodí, rána se vyhne tvému obydlí. 11 Vždyť kvůli tobě pověřil anděly, na všech tvých cestách aby tě chránili, 12 na rukou aby tě nosili, nohu o kámen aby sis nezranil. 13 Přes lvici i zmiji půjdeš dál, lva i baziliška pošlapáš! 14 „Přilnul ke mně, a tak ho zachráním, poznal mé jméno a já ho vyvýším. 15 Bude mě volat a já mu odpovím, v dobách soužení budu s ním, vysvobodím jej a oslavím. 16 Dlouhým životem ho nasytím – ukážu mu své spasení!“
