1 За първия певец. Псалм на Давид. Безумният каза в сърцето си: Няма Бог. Поквариха се, извършиха гнусни дела; няма никой, който да върши добро. 2 ГОСПОД погледна от небето над човешките синове, за да види има ли някой разумен, някой, който търси Бога. 3 Всички се отклониха, заедно станаха негодни, няма кой да върши добро, няма ни един. 4 Нямат ли разум всички, които вършат зло, които изпояждат народа ми, както ядат хляб, и не призовават ГОСПОДА? 5 Тогава ги връхлетя голям ужас, защото Бог е сред рода на праведните. 6 Подигравате се с намерението на бедния, но ГОСПОД е негово прибежище. 7 Дано дойде от Сион спасение на Израил! Когато ГОСПОД върне народа Си от плен, Яков ще ликува, ще се радва Израил.

1 To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. (Бит 6:5; Бит 6:11; Йов 2:10; Пс 10:4; Пс 53:1; Пс 74:18; Пс 74:22; Рим 3:10) 2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand,[1] who seek after God. (2 Лет 15:2; 2 Лет 19:3; Пс 11:4; Пс 102:19) 3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. (Йов 15:16) 4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord? (Пс 27:2; Пс 79:6; Пс 82:5; Пр 30:14; Ис 1:3; Ис 64:7; Ер 4:22; Ер 10:25; Ос 7:7; Ам 8:4; Мих 3:3) 5 There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous. (Пс 24:6; Пс 73:15) 6 You would shame the plans of the poor, but[2] the Lord is his refuge. (Пс 46:1; Пс 61:3; Пс 62:7; Пс 91:2; Пс 142:5) 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
