1Slyšte to, dome Jákobův, vy, kdo se nazýváte jménem Izrael, vy, kdo jste vzešli z Judova semene, vy, kdo přísaháte Hospodinovým jménem, vy, kdo Boha Izraele vzýváte, ale ne v pravdě a ne poctivě,2vy, kdo se na svaté město odvoláváte, vy, kdo se opíráte o Boha Izraele, jehož jméno je Hospodin zástupů:3Předem jsem oznamoval věci minulé, vlastními ústy ohlásil jsem je, náhle jsem jednal a staly se.4Že jsi zatvrzelý, věděl jsem, svaly tvé šíje že jsou železné a že máš čelo bronzové.5Proto jsem ti ty věci oznámil předem, předtím než přišly, ohlásil jsem je, abys neřekl: „Stalo se to dík mé modle, má socha to zařídila, můj odlitek!“6Slyšel jsi o tom, teď pohleď na to vše – kdy už to uznáte? Teď ti však ohlašuji nové věci, věci tajné, o nichž jsi nevěděl.7Teď byly stvořeny, a ne dřív, dodneška jsi o nich neslyšel, abys neřekl: „O tom já přece vím!“8Neslyšel jsi o tom, nic jsi nevěděl, tvé ucho bylo tehdy zavřené. Věděl jsem totiž, že jsi zrádce, že jsi od narození vzbouřenec.9Kvůli svému jménu svůj hněv zdržuji, kvůli své chvále se k tobě krotím, abych tě nezničil.10Hle – přetavil jsem tě, ač nejsi stříbrný, vyvolil jsem tě v peci soužení.11Kvůli sobě, sobě samému to činím – proč bych se měl nechat hanobit? O svoji slávu se s jiným nedělím!
Vyjděte z Babylonu
12Slyš mě, Jákobe, ty, Izraeli, můj povolaný: Já jsem – já jsem ten první a jsem i poslední.13Má vlastní ruka zemi založila, moje pravice nebe roztáhla; kdykoli je zavolám, v pozoru naráz musí stát.14Všichni se shromážděte a poslyšte: Kterýpak z bohů tohle předpověděl? Ten, jehož Hospodin miluje, vykoná jeho vůli s Babylonem, jeho ruka padne na Chaldejce.[1]15Já, já sám jsem promluvil, ano, já jsem ho povolal; přivedu ho sem a jeho cesta bude úspěšná.16Přistupte ke mně a tohle poslyšte: Od počátku jsem nikdy nemluvil skrytě a ve chvíli, kdy se to děje, já tam jsem. Teď mě posílá Panovník Hospodin spolu s Duchem svým.17Toto praví Hospodin, Svatý izraelský, jenž tě vykoupil: Já jsem Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, který tě učí úspěchu a vede tě po cestě, po níž bys jít měl.18Kdybys tak poslouchal mé příkazy, tvůj pokoj by proudil jako potoky, jak mořské vlny by byl tvůj blahobyt.19Jako písku by bylo tvého semene a tvých potomků jako zrnek v něm; jejich jméno by nikdy nevymizelo, nebylo by vymýceno přede mnou.20Vyjděte z Babylonu, unikněte Chaldejcům! Zvěstujte zvučným jásotem, všude to rozhlaste, vyřiďte ve všech zemských končinách: „Hospodin vykoupil svého služebníka Jákoba!“21Nežíznili, když je vedl pouštěmi, vyvedl pro ně vodu ze skály; rozetnul skálu a vody vytryskly.22Hospodin praví: Není pokoje pro ničemy!
1Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right. From this time forth I announce to you new things, hidden things that you have not known. (Iz 43,19)7They are created now, not long ago; before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’8You have never heard, you have never known, from of old your ear has not been opened. For I knew that you would surely deal treacherously, and that from before birth you were called a rebel. (Iz 46,8)9“For my name’s sake I defer my anger; for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off. (Mal 3,6)10Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried[1] you in the furnace of affliction. The Lord’s Call to Israel
12“Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called! I am he; I am the first, and I am the last. (Iz 41,4)13My hand laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth together. (Ž 102,25; Iz 40,26; Iz 51,13; Žd 1,10)14“Assemble, all of you, and listen! Who among them has declared these things? The Lord loves him; he shall perform his purpose on Babylon, and his arm shall be against the Chaldeans. (Iz 23,13; Iz 41,26; Iz 46,10; Iz 47,1)15I, even I, have spoken and called him; I have brought him, and he will prosper in his way. (Iz 45,1)16Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there.” And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit. (Iz 45,19; Iz 61,1)17Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.18Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; (Dt 32,29; Ž 81,13; Iz 66,12; L 19,42)19your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before me.” (Gn 22,17; Iz 10,22; Oz 1,10)20Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” (Ex 19,4; Iz 23,13; Iz 35,10; Iz 44,23; Iz 47,1; Iz 52,9; Iz 52,11; Jr 50,8; Jr 51,6; Jr 51,45; Za 2,6)21They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow for them from the rock; he split the rock and the water gushed out.
