The King Rejoices in the Lord’s Strength

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, in your strength the king rejoices, and in your salvation how greatly he exults! (Ž 8,2; Ž 9,14; Ž 28,7) 2 You have given him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. 5 His glory is great through your salvation; splendor and majesty you bestow on him. (Ž 8,5; Ž 45,3; Ž 96,6) 6 For you make him most blessed forever;^[1] you make him glad with the joy of your presence. (Ž 16,11; Ž 45,7) 7 For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved. (Ž 10,6; Ž 16,8) 8 Your hand will find out all your enemies; your right hand will find out those who hate you. (Iz 10,10) 9 You will make them as a blazing oven when you appear.
