These sayings are given to us by one shepherd.So 4:15You are like a fountain in a garden. They will give you knowledge and good advice.Joh 4:37Here is a true saying. “One plants and another gathers.”Pr 18:4The words of a person’s mouth are like deep water. But the fountain of wisdom is like a flowing stream.Pr 24:5Wise people have success by means of great power. Those who have knowledge gather strength.Heb 2:13Again he says, ‘I will put my trust in him.’ And again he says, ‘Here I am. Here are the children God has given me.’Pr 5:19She is like a loving doe, a graceful deer. May her breasts always satisfy you. May you always be captured by her love.Isa 41:6They help one another. You make us happy. We praise your love more than we praise wine.’ The woman says to the king, ‘It is right for them to love you!So 1:5‘Women of Jerusalem, my skin is dark but lovely. It is dark like the tents in Kedar. It’s like the curtains of Solomon’s tent.Pr 8:18With me are riches and honour. With me are lasting wealth and success.Pr 29:8Those who make fun of others stir up a city. But wise people turn anger away.Ps 94:4Proud words pour out of their mouths. All those who do evil are always boasting.Pr 31:25She puts on strength and honour as if they were her clothes. She can laugh at the days that are coming.De 8:17You might say to yourself, ‘My power and my strong hands have made me rich.’So 2:9The one who loves me is like an antelope or a young deer. Look! There he stands behind our wall. He’s gazing through the window. He’s peering through the screen.Ps 12:4They say, ‘What we speak with our tongues will win the battle. What we say with our lips will keep us safe. No one will have victory over us.’So 6:1The other women say, ‘You are the most beautiful woman of all. Where has the one who loves you gone? No one pays any attention to what he says.Ps 45:1My heart is full of beautiful words as I say my poem for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skilful writer.Eph 5:31Scripture says, ‘That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. The two will become one.’So 2:13The fig-trees are producing their early fruit. The flowers on the vines are giving off their sweet smell. Rise up and come, my love. Store up my commands inside you.So 2:3‘My love, among the young men you are like an apple tree among the trees of the forest. I’m happy to sit in your shade.
