Zephaniah 1:12

English Standard Version

12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are complacent,[1] those who say in their hearts, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will he do ill.’ (Ps 94:7; Jer 48:11; Eze 8:12; Am 6:1; Am 9:3; Mal 2:17; Mal 3:14)

New International Version

12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think, “The Lord will do nothing, either good or bad.”

New International Reader’s Version

12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps. I will punish those who are so contented. They are like wine that has not been shaken up. They think, “The LORD won’t do anything. He won’t do anything good or bad.”

King James Version

12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
