Ruth 4:1

1 Now Boaz had gone up to the gate and sat down there. And behold, the redeemer, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by. So Boaz said, “Turn aside, friend; sit down here.” And he turned aside and sat down. (Ru 2:20; 2Sa 15:2; 2Sa 18:4; 2Sa 18:24; 2Sa 18:33; 2Sa 19:8; Ps 127:5)

New International Version

1 Meanwhile Boaz went up to the town gate and sat down there just as the guardian-redeemer[1] he had mentioned came along. Boaz said, ‘Come over here, my friend, and sit down.’ So he went over and sat down. (Le 25:25)

1 Boaz went up to the town gate and sat down there. Right then, the family protector he had talked about came by. Then Boaz said, ‘Come over here, my friend. Sit down.’ So the man went over and sat down.

King James Version

1 Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
