17 And the women of the neighborhood gave him a name, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi.” They named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David. (Lu 1:59) 

New International Version

17 The women living there said, ‘Naomi has a son!’ And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.

17 The women living there said, ‘Naomi has a son!’ They named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of David.
