English Standard Version

7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. (1Co 2:14; Jas 4:4) 

New International Version

7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 The mind ruled by the power of sin is at war with God. It does not obey God’s law. It can’t. 

King James Version

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
