Romans 8:2

English Standard Version

2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you[1] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (Ro 6:14; Ro 6:18; Ro 7:4; Ro 8:12; 1Co 15:45; 2Co 3:6) 

New International Version

2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[1] free from the law of sin and death. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 Because of what Christ Jesus has done, you are free. You are now controlled by the law of the Holy Spirit who gives you life. The law of the Spirit frees you from the law of sin that brings death. 

King James Version

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
