2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. (1Co 1:31) 

New International Version

2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about – but not before God. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 Did he become right with God because of something he did? If so, he could boast about it. But he couldn’t boast to God. 

King James Version

2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
