9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Ex 20:13; Le 19:18; De 5:17; Mt 19:18)

9 The commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not covet,’[1] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ (Ex 20:13; Ex 20:17; Le 19:18; De 5:17; De 5:21)

9 Here are some commandments to think about. ‘Do not commit adultery.’ ‘Do not commit murder.’ ‘Do not steal.’ ‘Do not want what belongs to others.’ These and all other commands are included in one command. Here’s what it is. ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’ (Ex 20:13; Ex 20:17; Le 19:18; De 5:17; De 5:21)
