7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, (Ro 9:31; Ro 11:25) 

New International Version

7 What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 

New International Reader’s Version

7 What should we say then? The people of Israel did not receive what they wanted so badly. Those Israelites who were chosen did receive it. But the rest of the people were made stubborn. 

King James Version

7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
