Revelation 2:27

English Standard Version

27 and he will rule[1] them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. (Ps 2:9; Isa 30:14; Jer 19:11; Re 12:5; Re 19:15) 

New International Version

27 that one “will rule them with an iron sceptre and will dash them to pieces like pottery” – just as I have received authority from my Father. (Ps 2:9) 

New International Reader’s Version

27 It is written, ‘They will rule them with an iron sceptre. They will break them to pieces like clay pots.’ Their authority is like the authority I’ve received from my Father. (Ps 2:9) 

King James Version

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
