10 For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.” (De 9:7; Ps 81:13; Ac 7:36; Ac 13:18; Heb 3:17) 

New International Version

10 For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.” 

New International Reader’s Version

10 For 40 years I was angry with them. I said, “Their hearts are always going astray. They do not know how I want them to live.”
