39 You have renounced the covenant with your servant; you have defiled his crown in the dust. (Job 19:9; Ps 74:7; Ps 89:3; La 2:7) 

New International Version

39 You have renounced the covenant with your servant and have defiled his crown in the dust. 

New International Reader’s Version

39 You have broken the covenant you made with him. You have thrown your servant’s crown into the dirt. 

King James Version

39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
