Psalm 78:31

English Standard Version

31 the anger of God rose against them, and he killed the strongest of them and laid low the young men of Israel. (Ps 78:63; Isa 10:16) 

New International Version

31 God’s anger rose against them; he put to death the sturdiest among them, cutting down the young men of Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

31 His anger rose up against them. He put to death the strongest among them. He struck down Israel’s young men. 

King James Version

31 The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.
