Psalm 55:12

English Standard Version

12 For it is not an enemy who taunts me— then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me— then I could hide from him. (Job 19:5)

New International Version

12 If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were rising against me, I could hide.

12 If an enemy were making fun of me, I could stand it. If he were getting ready to oppose me, I could hide.
