3 For strangers[1] have risen against me; ruthless men seek my life; they do not set God before themselves. (1Sa 23:15; Ps 18:44; Ps 86:14; Ps 144:7; Isa 25:5) 

New International Version

3 Arrogant foes are attacking me; ruthless people are trying to kill me – people without regard for God.[1]
