Psalm 51:1

English Standard Version

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me,[1] O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. New International Version

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

New International Reader’s Version

1 God, have mercy on me according to your faithful love. Because your love is so tender and kind, wipe out my lawless acts.

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
