English Standard Version

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. (Ps 37:7; Eph 4:26) 

New International Version

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret – it leads only to evil. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 Turn away from anger and don’t give in to wrath. Don’t be upset, because that only leads to evil. 

King James Version

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
