English Standard Version

11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him, thick clouds dark with water. (Job 36:29; Ps 29:3; Ps 97:2) 

New International Version

11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him – the dark rain clouds of the sky. 

New International Reader’s Version

11 He covered himself with darkness. The dark rain clouds of the sky were like a tent around him. 

King James Version

11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
