Psalm 140:4

English Standard Version

4 Guard me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have planned to trip up my feet. (Ps 140:1) 

New International Version

4 Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 LORD, keep me safe from the hands of sinful people. Protect me from those who want to hurt me. They plan ways to trip me up and make me fall. 

King James Version

4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
