Proverbs 7:23

English Standard Version

23 till an arrow pierces its liver; as a bird rushes into a snare; he does not know that it will cost him his life. (Ec 9:12) 

New International Version

23 till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 until an arrow struck its liver. He was like a bird rushing into a trap. Little did he know it would cost him his life! 

King James Version

23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
