Proverbs 18:5

5 It is not good to be partial to[1] the wicked or to deprive the righteous of justice. (Le 19:15; De 1:17; Ps 82:2; Pr 17:15; Pr 24:23; Pr 28:21)

New International Version

5 It is not good to be partial to the wicked and so deprive the innocent of justice.

New International Reader’s Version

5 It isn’t good to favour those who do wrong. That would keep justice from those who aren’t guilty.

King James Version

5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
