English Standard Version

8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Mt 26:39; Joh 10:18; Ro 5:19; Heb 5:8; Heb 12:2) 

New International Version

8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross! 

New International Reader’s Version

8 He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross! 

King James Version

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
