Philemon 1:16

English Standard Version

16 no longer as a bondservant[1] but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. (Mt 23:8; 1Co 7:22; Eph 6:5; Col 3:22; Col 4:9; 1Ti 6:2)

New International Version

16 no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord.

New International Reader’s Version

16 You could have him back not as a slave. Instead, he would be better than a slave. He would be a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even more dear to you. He is dear to you not only as another human being. He is also dear to you as a brother in the Lord.

King James Version

16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
