10 And the chiefs offered offerings for the dedication of the altar on the day it was anointed; and the chiefs offered their offering before the altar. (De 20:5; 1Ki 8:63; 2Ch 7:5; 2Ch 7:9; Ezr 6:16; Ne 12:27) 

New International Version

10 When the altar was anointed, the leaders brought their offerings for its dedication and presented them before the altar. 

New International Reader’s Version

10 When the altar was anointed, the leaders brought their offerings. They placed them in front of the altar. They brought their offerings in order to set apart the altar. 

King James Version

10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.
