Numbers 31:5

English Standard Version

5 So there were provided, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war. (Nu 32:27; Jos 4:13) 

New International Version

5 So twelve thousand men armed for battle, a thousand from each tribe, were supplied from the clans of Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

5 So Moses prepared 12,000 men for battle. There were 1,000 from each tribe. They came from the families of Israel. 

King James Version

5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
