16 And from there they continued to Beer;[1] that is the well of which the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together, so that I may give them water.” (Ex 17:6; Nu 20:8; 2Sa 20:14)

16 From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the Lord said to Moses, ‘Gather the people together and I will give them water.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

16 From there the Israelites continued on to Beer. That was the well where the LORD spoke to Moses. He said, ‘Gather the people together. I will give them water to drink.’ 

King James Version

16 And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
