English Standard Version

2 “The people of Israel shall camp each by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ houses. They shall camp facing the tent of meeting on every side. (Nu 1:52) 

New International Version

2 ‘The Israelites are to camp round the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

2 ‘The Israelites must camp around the tent of meeting. But they must not camp too close to it. All of them must camp under their flags and under the banners of their families.’ 

King James Version

2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father' house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
