42 And when the congregation had assembled against Moses and against Aaron, they turned toward the tent of meeting. And behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. (Ex 40:34; Le 9:23; Nu 16:19) 

New International Version

42 But when the assembly gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned towards the tent of meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the Lord appeared. 

New International Reader’s Version

42 The community gathered together to oppose Moses and Aaron. The people walked towards the tent of meeting. Suddenly the cloud covered it. The glory of the LORD appeared. 

King James Version

42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
