Nehemiah 5:2

English Standard Version

2 For there were those who said, “With our sons and our daughters, we are many. So let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.” 

New International Version

2 Some were saying, ‘We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

2 Some of them were saying, ‘There are now many of us. We have many sons and daughters. We have to get some corn so we can eat and stay alive.’ 

King James Version

2 For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them , that we may eat, and live.
