Nehemiah 12:24

English Standard Version

24 And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers who stood opposite them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch by watch. (2Ch 5:13; Ezr 2:40; Ezr 3:11; Ne 10:9; Ne 11:17; Ne 12:9; Ne 12:36) 

New International Version

24 And the leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their associates, who stood opposite them to give praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, as prescribed by David the man of God. 

New International Reader’s Version

24 The leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah and Jeshua. Jeshua was the son of Kadmiel. Those who helped them stood opposite them to sing praises and give thanks. One group would sing back to the other. That’s what David, the man of God, had ordered. 

King James Version

24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
