30 We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. (Ex 34:16; De 7:3; Ezr 9:12; Ezr 9:14) 

New International Version

30 ‘We promise not to give our daughters in marriage to the peoples around us or take their daughters for our sons. 

New International Reader’s Version

30 Here is what the priests, Levites and people said. ‘We promise not to let our daughters marry men from the nations around us. And we promise not to let their daughters marry our sons.
