Micah 2:8

English Standard Version

8 But lately my people have risen up as an enemy; you strip the rich robe from those who pass by trustingly with no thought of war.[1] (2Ch 28:8)

New International Version

8 Lately my people have risen up like an enemy. You strip off the rich robe from those who pass by without a care, like men returning from battle.

New International Reader’s Version

8 But lately my people have attacked one another as if they were enemies. You strip off the rich robes from those who happen to pass by. They thought they were as safe as men returning from a battle they had won.

King James Version

8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
