28 And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes,[1] two demon-possessed[2] men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. (Mt 8:16; Mr 5:1; Lu 8:26; Re 18:2) 

New International Version

28 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,[1] two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no-one could pass that way. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 Jesus arrived at the other side of the lake in the area of the Gadarenes. Two men controlled by demons met him. They came from the tombs. The men were so wild that no one could pass that way. 

King James Version

28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
