39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Isa 50:6; La 3:30; Mt 26:67; Lu 6:29; Ro 12:17; 1Pe 2:23) 

New International Version

39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 

New International Reader’s Version

39 But here is what I tell you. Do not fight against an evil person. Suppose someone slaps you on your right cheek. Turn your other cheek to them also.
