Matthew 5:22

English Standard Version

22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother[1] will be liable to judgment; whoever insults[2] his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell[3] of fire. (Mt5:21; Mt5:29; Mt18:9; Mr9:43; Jas3:6; 1Jo3:15)

New International Version

22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[1][2] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[3] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

New Int. Readers Version

22 But here is what I tell you. Do not be angry with your brother. Anyone who is angry with his brother will be judged. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ must stand trial in the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire in hell.

King James Version
