26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged[1] Jesus, delivered him to be crucified. (Isa 50:6; Isa 53:5; Mt 20:19; Lu 23:16; Joh 19:1) 

New International Version

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. 

New International Reader’s Version

26 Pilate let Barabbas go free. But he had Jesus whipped. Then he handed him over to be nailed to a cross. 

King James Version

26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
