English Standard Version

28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. (Mt 23:5; Lu 12:1) 

New International Version

28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 It is the same with you. On the outside you seem to be doing what is right. But on the inside you are full of what is wrong. You pretend to be what you are not.

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
