23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance[1] to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” (Mt 4:10; Mt 13:41; Ro 8:5; Php 2:5; Php 3:19; Col 3:2)

New International Version

23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.’

New International Reader’s Version

23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, ‘Get behind me, Satan! You are standing in my way. You do not have in mind the things God cares about. Instead, you only have in mind the things humans care about.’

King James Version

23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
